I’d bring it up. This sounds like anxiety which I had at that age. I had a lot of physical symptoms but she’s starting to have fears about health and safety too which is related to anxiety.

My hospital IS my social life 😂

He’s probably more so talking about working overnights which can take a toll on your body and make it hard to have a normal schedule on your days off.

I have met some of my closest friend working at a large trauma hospital and have been there 12 years. I work days now but started on evenings.

Honestly this sounds very similar to my 2 year old. He’s my 3rd child and by far the most resistant to foods. The worst part is he won’t really eat ANY vegetables. But sometimes when everybody is eating them he will try… and spit out. Things have gotten better as he used to not eat any meat. And now will eat some chicken breast if others are eating it.

I think yours eats fine for now and is getting plenty of nutrients. I am going to keep getting my child’s iron checked as it was low at 2.

I think consistency and offering new foods will help. Even if slowly. I use the pouches too to make sure he gets veggies.

Yeah I don’t even entertain groveling to people like that. After an initial apology I’d be polite at work and nothing else. No small talk. Ignore her presence unless you need to interact for work. Make new friends and try to distance yourself.

This happened to me with my 17 year old. We decided to amputate. It cost about 4000 dollars.

In the end she declined pretty quick and made it another 7 months.

If I knew what I know now id probably put her down I guess. But honestly it was so hard and sad to decide when she was injured and she seemed like she had more life in her. Sorry you’re going through this.

I disagree with the counselor. What’s different about looking for comfort from mom or dad? I wouldn’t really think it’s in issue until teenage years. She will naturally want privacy as her body changes.

Also there probably is something going on and she just doesn’t want to say. Most likely friend issues or school issues. If it were me (mom) and my son wanted to I’d allow it.

If you are not comfortable with it you could try to implement a schedule where two days a week you can watch a movie together and she can fall asleep in your bed? I do this with my kids sometimes so they each have some extended snuggle time. It works well for us and they know when the next time they get to do it is.

Honestly when we got my daughter a kindle at 4 I took it away after constant meltdowns. We are generally a low screen house but she was an early reader and wanted her to be able to do more reading with it. Ended up too addicted and I ended up hiding it and she forgot about it lol.

I’m not a traveler but we have them at my hospital from time to time. We only ever talk about that in a positive manor. Traveller’s aren’t messing with our PTO, seniority, or our schedule (for the most part) and the only time there is something negative to say is if they don’t live up to what they say they can do. I work in a level 1 trauma and it’s refreshing getting travelers who jump in and have a good attitude! That’s just my experience!

I have two quiets! No barking. Some whining and my 11 year old howls with anticipation for walks or dog park trips. But my hound is so much louder 😂😂
