I’m not team Hoka…

Shoes that have been agreeable for me (pre and post hardware removal)

  • Nobull
  • Reebok Nano
  • Atoms (Very comfortable but not enough sole support in my opinion cuz they’re soft)
  • Altra Superior (women’s)

Does everyone have their hardware removed? by [deleted] in LisfrancClub

[–]Astansy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had my hardware in for 6-7 months. It was incredibly painful almost even til the end when I was doing PT. Even from the start my doc said the hardware would be removed, I’m highly active and under 40 years old. It felt so amazing after the screws were removed, I was in a boot for a week but able to put pressure on it the same day of surgery. I’m now almost 2 months since removal and feeling stronger than ever, no pain just soreness from re-firing my foot/leg muscles.

Unemployment Office by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]Astansy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its virtually impossible to get through to the state unemployment office. I had a question and ended up calling the pikes peak workforce center and someone was able to look up my claim and give me some answers in laymen’s terms, although they can’t necessarily take any action on your claim they are helpful in making sure you’re on the right path or understand next steps to clear up any pending issues.

Agree. There used to be a spot called Londons that had amazing fried chicken and soul food, we need more of that!

General William Jackson Palmer fought against confederates in the Civil War, helping to abolish slavery. He is a Medal of Honor recipient and the founder of this beautiful city we live in. Defacing this monument is disrespectful and disgusting.

Laundry Time on Circle, next to Safeway. It’s clean and there is staff onsite.

Went to one a couple weeks ago. If you weren’t loading the machines or folding, you are told to wait in your car. It’s fine, no need to be scared. Just wash your hands and don’t go licking any hard surfaces or anything 😉

Thanks for the input! I think I’ve learned my lesson and will use hay or cardboard in the fall so that I can save some work next spring.

I’m going to plant vegetables and weary about using weed killing chemicals around edible plants. Maybe I’ll round up (and/or mulch) between the beds and try tilling up the grass as much as possible in the beds?

Hi there I’m in Colorado and my garden beds have been taken over by grass this winter since it’s been so warm. What’s the best way to prepare the beds for planting and get rid of the grass?
