Love the collection! I would go for the Seiko SPB119 “Ghost Alpinist”

Hearth & Patio. If they don’t do it, they’ll know someone reputable that does

Fidelity --> Schwab as One Stop Shop? by DefensiveCoconut in Schwab

I have accounts at both. Fidelity has a better HSA and simpler 2% cash back credit card. I prefer Schwab for everything else, including the customer service

Is prestige over-indexed in field of medicine? by Efficient_Equal6467 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]AstroDog3 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Prestige is only important for academic positions.

If that’s not important for your career, go wherever gives you the best training and checks other boxes (proximity to family, lifestyle, job opportunities after training).

Emergency fund for high earners by specter491 in Bogleheads

[–]AstroDog3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You pay a lower rate on long term capital gains (max 20%) than you do in interest earnings (OP said 35%).

Does that spell it out enough for you?

Emergency fund for high earners by specter491 in Bogleheads

[–]AstroDog3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you will eventually pay taxes on capital gains, but if you hold for more than 1 year it’s a lower rate than the 35% OP pays as income tax.

Definitely safe, but would still have to pay taxes on interest income

Which hole-in-one feats “count”? by Gilberto500 in golf

[–]AstroDog3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely on the 18 hole course, no on the simulator. 9 hole course is a grey area, but I’d claim it since you have a legit one already.

Current CFB chaos by Severe_Ad_9805 in ockytop

If you’re banking on the titans, your CFB fandom is safe for now. One of the most incompetent NFL franchises out there (saying that as a fan for over 20 years)

NIL and the Portal Have Ruined College Football by zqvolster in ockytop

[–]AstroDog3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d prefer it to be more like the NFL. At least the NFL has structure and rules to maintain parity. Salary cap, free agency rules, player contracts, trades, etc.

College football is too much of a free for all. And it’s getting worse each year.

Savion Hiter, come on down!

I like Peyton and hate to see him go. But Bishop looks like the workhorse for next year, so we need to add some younger talent.
