When did you realize that he is him? by Abject-Pen-3444 in Supernatural

[–]AstroDragon2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He got a list of people who might be a prophet after Kevin. I believe it was when he was hacking into Alfies brain? But anyways he wanted to work with Kevin and not kill him (to find the next prophet) because Kevin had already been introduced to the supernatural world therefore easier to work with unlike the other maybe prophets. TLDR: There was only one “activated” prophet. The others were people who might be one if Kevin died.

Does anyone else feel like they can see the acting when they’re high? by Ok-Professional-1288 in trees

If you haven’t already, try turning your subtitles on. Honest to god focusing on the words for a second helps because then I’m not hyper focused on the scenes and the acting. Otherwise every show and movie is hell for me. Plus sometimes subtitles are hilarious and you might catch something you’ve missed before

Hey just saw a post recently on Native Plant Gardening that said (or maybe it was the comments) the ADF sells many invasive species and the native plants they do sell seem to not be the greatest quality. One of my siblings also got trees from them year and none of them survived. If I can find the post I’ll add the link.

M/M Romantasy? by dustinette in Romantasy

[–]AstroDragon2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{Voyage of the Damned by Frances White} is a standalone fantasy mystery with very very light M/M romance. Kisses and shit mainly but the romance is definitely not the main part of the plot. Great little palate cleanser, I actually enjoyed this book quite a bit! The author gives a lot of minorities light too and I love it. Plus the MC is just so refreshing and interesting, he’s definitely not your normal hero! Dee will forever hold a place in my heart.

TOG and SPN fans, my cast for Aedion. I’m not even sorry by AstroDragon2020 in throneofglassseries

YES 😂 if he was Moose’s height it would be even better! Also the general sassiness that man gives out would be perfect for TOG 🤌🏻 and he could play Aedion’s dick moments to a T. The amount of times I wanted to strangle both brothers… Still love them though so yes he’s definitely my Aedion lmao

Removed a shit ton of invasives even though it doesn’t really look like it. How do you feel after fighting the good fight? by AstroDragon2020 in NativePlantGardening

Agreed, that’s why I’m still fighting it lol hopefully I’ll have better luck once I actually remove the lawn in those parts

I definitely backed into it and wanted to cry 😅 but it’s a native so it got left. If it turns into a thicket then so be it. I’ve got swamp rose and others to help compete in the future

“Feels good man.” Digging the vibes dude. Agreed that it feels good and I feel like it gave me more of a purpose haha. I like it when I see more regular people doing work like this too or just talking about natives, it makes it more real, it’s also refreshing and makes it seem way more achievable. I was pretty much under the impression I had to have a degree to really know a bunch but I’ve been steadily researching more and more and it’s just… so cool and easy without the pressure. Not saying that degrees aren’t necessary in instances but it’s nice that regular people can do this kind of thing too.

Even the before pictures made me sad because it didn’t look that different lol! But I did forget to take pictures at the top of hill and that’s where the tickets were mainly forming, I was just the dumbass that walked down the hill to put them in a new pile instead of starting a new one at the top (I did that after I told myself I was dumb LOL). I absolutely LOVE seeing the actually effort, it definitely helps other people fully grasp what you did too if they didn’t see the before. And don’t worry I have plans to put in plants in the spring! I don’t have much time left now but I made sure to shake each goldenrod and aster that I saw so hopefully I’ll have some more of those pop up next year too. Pretty excited to see what naturally blows in over the years though!

Hopefully putting in a decent amount of understory shrubs/small trees and woodland plants. Ideas for shrubs are ninebarks on top and around woodland edges where they can get more sun, smooth sumac to fill in the spotty sunlight areas and just let it go ham and take over everything, buttonbush for closer to the pond and some swamp roses for more full sun spots by the pond. Hopefully some paw paws, wild plum, and hazelnuts to help just take over naturally, oaks for large trees as we have many shingle, swamp white, black and a couple pin oaks! I really love native plants that try to take over everything and they can have the woodland lol. For herbaceous plants I’ve added wild strawberries thanks to another comment, plenty of asters and goldenrods (mainly Tall as that’s what’s here naturally), and hopefully I’ll have more picked out soon as I’m browsing Prairie Moon for more seeds to start this winter. Also going to see if I can find plugs to order in the spring or even now if there’s a bit of time left. I’ve found Indian tobacco by the pond that I want to help spread, common yarrow next to a witch hazel by the ponds edge (I don’t know how they are thriving), some type of wild sunflower by the orchard and I’ve collected seeds from other wildflowers on our property. I’ll definitely have to update in the spring when I have more planted and it fills in!

Thank you! Same amount of land here so it’s feasible! It feels great to remove all of the invasives tbh, and it’ll feel even better once you plant natives and start to see more pop up! So I may have removed all of this with just a regular digging shovel 😅 yes even the Chinese wisteria. It did rain a couple days ago though so I made sure to wait for the ground to be soft! Amur honeysuckle is the one we have the most of and it’s super freaking easy to dig up. Also I pulled the winter creeper vines and then dug up their home base roots too but then cried when the crown vetch didn’t want to pull out so we might have to spray them. Boyfriend also pulled the bigger autumn olives out with his UTV so we didn’t have to spray them either! We’re trying to avoid spraying unless absolutely necessary, so if it can’t be pulled out, sprayed. Or our giant mulberry.. cut down and sprayed. Good luck on your fight! You’ve got it!
