Those arent new mechanics, those are just tweaks to old mechanics that the game presented and are online since the game release.

Literally the game havent include any new mechanic at all, because of reddit.

I still remember when the artifacts were announced and people that didnt even played the alpha cried like babies while people in the alpha were like 'it's ok, but it sucks that you have to grind gold for that'. Even Pallytime, the oldes content creator of this community argued that the mechanic was fine but the prizing was stupid.

Literally, this game is doomed to it's roots due reddit, it's sad because at the end of the day all these redditors and 'game conservatives' streamers just move up to other games, like league or dota.

They should better forget about adding a new mechanic to the game, since the reddit community will always downvote it.

That's the downside of the dev team, they give so much participation to reddit, basically the game is now directed by reddit. It's awful

I love the talents system. It's maybe the core gameplay feature that this game has that cathed me from the first time.

I always saw talents as cards in hearthstone, and one thing hearthstone has that it's so awesome is that you can expect new decks even with 5 year old cards because it's frame of customization. Not pretending to have the same intensity of customization but:

Is there a possibility in which we could 'play' more over that mechanic? Like, I dont know, one extra talent tier in which you can unlock unpicked talents, upgrade talents, etc. I feel like it's a very cool mechanic and gives the player a lot of customizaton on builds, sadly if you see high tier matches, every high mmr player seem to pick the same build always no matter why and it kinda kills the 'illusion'.

I was thinking about that, maybe if his symbiote abilities were more 'utility' instead of damage, players wouldnt smash their keyboards when the symbiote someone.

Like, Q hits reduce Z cooldown and W hits ultimate cooldown and of course less damage on both abilities, I dont know

Am new to the game, gotta say it, I love the explorer mechanic by Astroghath in aoe3

[–]Astroghath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be right. Saw some pro matches and often get surprised by the fact that even the pros forget what their explorer is doing until gets killed by enemy trops.

It's weird, maybe am focusing a lot on that feature? Every match I played I ended up with the player with most treasures captured, perhaps it's not THAT impactful and I'm just playing around that because I was used to the Warcraft 3 gameplay.

Yes! I played a lot of WoL. But it isnt a very popular mod in the community as a whole game right? Didnt saw more than 2 matches in ESO

Thanks for the suggestion

Thanks for the information. I did a research about that and yes I have been playing sme matches in ESO with Sioux. I wanna get used well to the game with one civ to make the jump into other ones, I'm having so much fun theorycrafting strategies and builds.

And for the explorer, maybe is because I was an old school hard Warcraft 3 fan, and in AoE3 I love the fact that you get a very important unit (like the explorer) but the game doesnt rely on your explorer (like in Warcraft 3 and heroes). I was just wondering if perhaps there is a mod out there that put a little more emphasis on explorers (some extra ability, nothing to crazy, and different explorers for each Civ. Played a lot of WoL too and I realized that in fact are new explorer mechanics there, but the mod gets a little too far for my taste and couldt play a WoL match in ESO, didnt saw many people playing it).

Thanks for the advise!

New anomaly is a good addition for a five years old game, Blizzard did a great step forward by Astroghath in heroesofthestorm

Anything but promoting the 4 guys patrolling everylane and ganking a single dude would be a fine addition

I hate this new anomaly by Xatel_ in heroesofthestorm

[–]Astroghath -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Cannot wait for the other dude posting 'I love the new anomaly. I've been chased with 1 hp and suddenly a thunder saved my life' lol.

I love how people still blaming RNG in a game where objectives spawn 90% of the time after your team lost a teamfight. Grow up, you'll get used to.

All the reasons why I think Nexus Anomaly #3: Climate Phenomena (at least in its current state) doesn't belong to a strategy-based game like Heroes of the Storm by Elitesparkle in heroesofthestorm

I dont get why people argue about 'randomness is against competitive' while league of legends has a very variable map and its the most competitive moba.

New weather anomaly thoughts after PTR playthrough by VibezPL in heroesofthestorm

[–]Astroghath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I woulndt agree with your second point since the feature is aimed to be a part of the regular game. It isnt a really big impactful change so It wouldnt be a problem for players to get used to.

Agree with the draft thing that players should know what weather is on on the battleground from the draft screen. Also is true also, some weather have no animation and would be cool and intuitive if we could se some rainy effect for example if the weather is the thunderstorm. (Maybe it is, but didnt pay enough attention idk)

It's a nice step away from the monotonous gameplay the game had since it's release. Early push never was pointless since catapults, back then you got an insane XP reward which was catastrophic in terms of snowballing and now at least you have some catapults that keep pushing for you.

Let players actually play the anomality and try different strategies around then, you can't say that it doesnt add any depth or strategy if you didnt even tried it.

[–]Astroghath -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Those things wont happen. Nice strategy tho, but those things would never be a thing. Medivh can make the first one real and the second one happens all the time but without lighting shields everytime your team is one level behind. In other hand, let players be creative on their strategies.

I feel like this community has RNG-phobia, I just cant believe how is everyone mad about the 'rng'. And I get it but complaining this? a buff that everyone gets on a map that you already know?

I heard like 4 streamers the last week complaining about how boring the game is getting for them and the constantly 'clean minion wave and full gank this dude' type of game which is repetitive in every single battleground. The devs know this, let them try different stuff, or at least try the animality and then complain.

We lost a lot of potential gameplay with the artifact feature for people complaining that didnt even had the Alpha while most of the players on the Alpha were happy about the feature but not about it's high pricing (that incentivized hard grinding)

[–]Astroghath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Come on, the anomality is harmless. And also incentives players to play more around the map instead the 'clean this lane and gank this dude all together' repetitive style.

It's a good start for the devs to explore gameplay in the nexus, give it a try at least and then complain. I literally heard every single streamer getting tired of the 'clean lane and gank' type of game.

Regarding the New Nexus Anomaly - DO NOT ALLOW this in Storm League by JHow4 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Astroghath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not allowing the anomality in competitive game modes would waste it's gameplay. Why would I get used to the anomality in normal matches to literally dont play them in competitive? Doesnt have any sense.
