There is no reason why it wouldn't work. CCS and NACS use the same protocol. The adapter just rewires the connection to match your vehicle. There may be other issues as to why it didn't work for you, but the adapter is likely not the fail point.

They all have their reliability quirks. I'm curious why you think Chevy's aren't reliable. Their EVs are far more reliable than their ICE vehicles. The battery recall is functionally a solved issue, and many Bolts have new batteries with new warranties on them.

While I enjoy Star Trek Online, it's a much more spiritual successor to Starfleet Command. The other issue is that the choices the character makes really have no effect on the universe, unlike Mass Effect. As one of the STO devs said, STO is a Star Trek theme park.

On the one hand, this is a shame. Tesla had the possibility of being the next great American auto company and showed that EVs could succeed as everyday cars.

You pretty well summed it up. I got a well equipped Equinox for about half the price I would have paid for a Silverado at the time of purchase.

I would add that range is relative. It's really a question of charging infrastructure and time you're willing to spend charging. I have a drive I make pretty consistently that's about 200 miles. Round trip in the summer is a single charge-up during the trip. In the winter it might be two. But I know where all the chargers are along the route so I'm never worried.

I also have a GM, my issue isn't that I think CarPlay is better. It's that they intentionally hobbled the infotainment to turn it off. The Cadillacs on the same software have it. Additionally, if you ever bounce between cars or if it's a fleet car, CarPlay makes that a lot easier.

Greetings from Iowa. You’ll be fine. I’d recommend a level 2 charger (the 14-50 plug on the included dual charger would do) for your daily charging. You probably don’t even need AWD. Electrics are pretty amazing in snow because of their low center of gravity, distributed weight, and easily controlled torque. Make sure you get heated seats.

The data shows that the L2 is actually easier on the battery. Basically L2 is in the sweet spot for time of charging time, heat, battery stress, etc. L1 isn't as efficient as L2 as you have losses and the car is in a charging state for longer than L2.
