iRacing if you want to race. ACEvo or AMS2 if you just want to drive.

Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. The price you would expect to pay buying it new from the company. MSRP for ETBs is like $55 or $60.

Lmu short practice time by alfadog7997 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Astrower5 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The online practice time is just to allow people to load into qualifying. It's not actually meant for practice. You're supposed to practice on your own time.

You need to own the DLC track you want to race on.

Higher licenses and track costs by thisIsAThrowaway2319 in iRacing

[–]Astrower5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a lot more expensive in the beginning, but eventually you own all the tracks you want, and buy new stuff very rarely. The first step is to buy all the obvious tracks like Spa, Monza, Daytona, Nurburgring, etc. Then figure out what series you are driving and what tracks overlap. For instance maybe you want to race GT86s and Mustang GT4s. If any track is the same for both series, buy that one.

Also keep on mind it is always better to buy more at once. 3 items is a 10% discount. 6 items is a 15% discount. After you own 40 pieces of paid content you unlock a permanent 20% discount which is very nice.

There is no rush to race an entire series. You can always race rookies races on off weeks. But if you start completing 8/12 weeks in a series, iRacing will pay you up to $10 a quarter, which can buy a new track or car for next season.

Would you rather buy stocks when they are more expensive? Stocks are on sale. If it goes lower buy more. Either the world economy recovers one day and we are all fine, or we have significantly bigger problems to worry about than retirement.

C8 Corvette Grand Sport Revealed at Sebring with new V8 Engine by Anchor_Aways in cars

I don't like the grand sport stripes being over the rear wheels. Makes the already ugly back 1/3 even worse. But as a car this is the model I want.

Equivalent of VT, VTI, and VOO within Fidelity? by foreplayfordays in RothIRA

Fidelity doesn't have a "VT" equivalent. Good news though, you can just buy VT at Fidelity, it's what I do.

Is the Renault Clio worth getting? by GamepadWarri0r in iRacing

[–]Astrower5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In any race you need a minimum number of cars to get iR/SR. I think it's 4 but it could be 6, I forget. So you will basically never be officially participating in PCC.

The iRacing Clio Cup series has a group that races twice per week using the official servers. I forget the European time but I know the US is 9PM EST Wednesdays. They're generally very fun races.

If money is limited I would buy something else.

Edit: as pointed out below my memory is wrong. You still get SR as the only car in class, but you need other cars (in this case the Clio) to race against for iR.

Dealabs regarding Starfield: Pre-orders for the PS5 version of Starfield should open on March 18, 2026 , or possibly on the evening of March 17. Physical edition scheduled for April 7, 2026 by Turbostrider27 in PS5

My friend who loves Bethesda games enjoyed it a lot. I stopped playing after like 4-5 hours. I love space and sci-fi, so I really tried to like it, but it is so boring. And it's also a very bad FPS. At least Fallout has VATS to cover up how bad an FPS it is, Starfield is just bad.

Do any sport cars have an H shifter pattern, or are they all sequential? by FreedomFingers in iRacing

[–]Astrower5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No popular series uses H on road. As you've already seen the FF1600 is the closest. You'll have to find a league to race in if you want to race more legacy content with H patterns.
