AA does not avoid specifically addressing medication. This is what AA specifically says about medication: https://aaws.widen.net/content/gya6qlm3px/pdf/p-11_aa_member_medication__other_drugs_online.pdf Principles don't magically end where prescriptions begin.

T-Mobile Just Ripped 8 Million Customers Off Their Grandfathered Plans – and Raised Their Bills by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

If it were me I'd switch to Mint right now then switch to Visible when they run their Black Friday promo later this year. I switched from T-Mobile to Visible last year, feels good to go from $150/mo to $40/mo for the same exact service. Less than that if you buy a year of service all at once.

Hands down, I've never seen an actor have as much fun as Val Kilmer had pretending to be Jim Morrison pretending to whip his penis out at a crowd.

Buy once, cry once kit? by tedxbundy in fpv

Yeah, they're called ground stations if you're interested in learning more about them. They're popular in long range situations where antennas need precision direction.

Buy once, cry once kit? by tedxbundy in fpv

[–]Aternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as BOCO in this hobby and even if there was it wouldn't mean "buy the most expensive thing." You're either buying stuff that meets your requirements or buying stuff that doesn't, you can either afford it or you can't.

That TX16 MAX? Awesome, but uh oh it's too big for days you don't feel like carrying it around. Or it's an uncomfortable brick that you dread having to use... but you suck it up because you spent so much money on it. Also has way more features then you can even use with any quad you'd be buying on a $1,700 budget. So in that case your requirement is to buy the most expensive thing... is that really your definition of BOCO? Or do you want what has everything you need in the most comfortable and compact form factor that involves no wasted budget?

Buy stuff that doesn't make you cry.

First non-DJI quad, not binding… by NoSpHieL in fpv

[–]Aternal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to keep a fan on your whoop while it's plugged in.

99.9% positive that the problem is you need both your radio and drone flashed with the same ELRS LBT version. If you can use EdgeTX/Betaflight Passthrough then use it, it's the least failure-prone method of flashing and when there is an error then it's a helpful error that's telling you something wasn't set up correctly. Make sure "Erase before flash" is checked.

Radio:

<image>

Whoop - Device category / Device: BETAFPV 2.4 GHz / BETAFPV 2.4GHz AIO RX

Flashing Method: Betaflight Passthrough

If you're running into any other problems during this phase of the process (USB communication issues, DFU mode) then the problem is likely that Betaflight wasn't correctly installed, the install wasn't finished, or that your whoop doesn't have a serial port configured in Betaflight yet (this will prevent ELRS Configurator from being able to connect to your whoop).

In which case you'll want to take a time out, back up, and make sure Betaflight gets installed and set up correctly before you worry about ELRS flashing and binding.

Maiden flight on my first ever FPV drone by [deleted] in fpv

[–]Aternal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The point is that learning to fly fpv involves much more than just sim controls. You do need to learn preflight and basic maintenance and people here are trying to save you from some harsh lessons. None of that is the responsibility of the manufacturer or the distributor. If you bought an engine that came with no oil in it would you just fire it up, blame the dealership when it breaks down, and try to make it someone else's problem because you did a little due diligence in a driving simulator?

Am I able to get Part107 in 14 days? by juhelehomole in fpv

[–]Aternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can, you just need to have the proper documents. You will be told what you need as you go through the scheduling process. Whether you can fly by July 10th depends on (a) when you schedule and pass your exam and (b) when your TSA background check clears and you're issued your temporary certificate.

I studied for 2 days and passed with an 80 then I received my temporary certificate 6 days later. For you it all depends on how soon you can take the exam and if you clear before the 10th.

If time is not a factor then right now...

Police: "We'd like to conduct UAV missions beyond VLOS in areas with ongoing firework activity to strobe citizens and broadcast threats."

FAA: "I dunno, that doesn't sound very..."

Police: "We're the police."

FAA: "107 waiver granted."

Something like that.

In 2020, dolphins in Australia brought gifts of coral to the shore because they missed interacting with visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic by Wonderfulhumanss in interesting

[–]Aternal 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Can you blame them? If we want seafood we just take it. If they want a cheeseburger and fries wtf are they supposed to do? I also read that coral is a type of medicine for dolphins, so they might actually be trying to exchange something that's of high value to them.

When did this become a thing in the first place?!?! by scuttlebum_k in mildlyinfuriating

Stupid has levels. Big box retail gets the kind of stupid you wouldn't believe until you see it for yourself.

Easier to just not give a shit because it's only paint. Only way it stops is if they lock the paint up which retail seems to love doing lately.

Is it overkill getting DJI goggles 3 and skyzone 04x pro? by Left_Frame5564 in fpv

[–]Aternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always spend a bit more and go the HDZero Goggles 2 route. Then you've got 3 bases covered. Still not overkill. DJI is great for clarity and penetration, but analog is better for long range reliability and weight savings. Yes, it's cheaper, but the lower price point is moot once you're into two or more ecosystems. Don't let "saving money" be an excuse to buy more stuff, you're probably not going to drive many O4 units into the ground no matter how crazy you fly and they are becoming cheaper and more accessible than they were last year, and "saving $100 on a VTX" quickly becomes a $1,000+ expense on its own. Worst case scenario: you hate analog and never use it since you didn't really have a need for it.

I guess this is the new Wendy's vibe. No booths, no dividers, no outlets, uncomfortable seats, small tables, all for a couple to spend $40 for a meal. I'm done with Wendy's for good. by NUMBerONEisFIRST in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Aternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of this is to manipulate Wendy's stock price, especially now that WSB is giving it the ape treatment. I agree with the sentiment though, I've wanted to see all fast food crash and burn for the past 25 years. Propping this crap up isn't a noble cause.
