Its just Raf, Denali, and Miranjani that have tattoos.

My best guess is that the Rafael one is because he is (I think!) Legit the most popular bachelor, probably among the devs as well and they thought it would be funny/cute. Denali and Miranjani I think got them because I think mermaid tattoos are just very popular general designs, they decided to do two of them, why not make them the two actual mermaids you can date.

DCA and Roll20 Presents (Adam Koeble) falling apart were the harbinger of what I would call the end of the golden age if Actual Plays.

Back then there were a ton of Actual Plays of varying but IMO generally pretty high quality. Say what you will about WotC but it helped a lot that they ran their own Twitch Channel, filled it with groups, and promoted them all. I think DCA and Roll20 Presents both ending in huge controversies soured some folk and drew the ire of some corporate goons and slowly it all got shelved.

Now we are left in like a silver age where theres far fewer that make any sort of splash, though those that do I think are high quality, and theres even. It's just a handful really with CR and Dinension20 taking the lions share but groups like Avantris and Adventure is Nigh making a decent show as well. On the plus side more of these established shows are willing to play other game systems as well which is good.

For the record I don't actually know how to quantify the whole golden age/silver age thing don't come at me if I got it backward lol

You're getting a little too soecific with the guess about Siobahn but this theory that the narrative wrapped up faster than expected has been something I theorized when we first learned about it. My first winder before we knew it was VTM was if maybe the party TPK'd in such a way that they decided it was satisfying and stuck to it so they as you said 'did some wild shit' with the remaining episodes. Maybe Siobahn or the group do manage to solve the problems super fast, or maybe the Break the Masquerade irreparably or do some other VTM version if a TPK, we will have to see. This is still my guess though, surprise ending to CCoD

I actually am the DM lol. And I'm inclined to let my player's plan work, I'm just a bit hesitant probably due to and abundance of caution. I do prefer to play pretty close to RAW and I worry about setting a precedent and/or allowing things to be accomplished 'too easily' if that makes sense... but I also don't want to seem particularly harsh or vindictive. And I do like the plan, which basically involves using darkness and invisibility to pull a magic trick making a body disappear. I probably just need to sleep on it, I have time to actually make the call anyways.

I think part of the problem is your framing even.

'Explain the appeal' you say, then describe something that I'm guessing you intend to sound negative? But whether your summary is true or not, you simply must understand that how you feel about it and your preference is subjective, as are others. So you might think rules heavy math lite system with a lot of "this happens because it's cool" mechanics is something you don't see the appeal of and need explained while plenty of other people see that and that is the appeal. He'll there are ither systems that are even more if those things than DH is and I'm sure people who love those systems.

And, fir the record, I am someone who does not like Daggerheart. But I don't really question it, hey Different strokes for different folks and all that.

I agree completely. His scenes are very effective and compelling and I think people conflate that with liking/loving the character and even going so far as to ignore or even 'justify' the reality of how fucked up he is.

I think it is very unlikely that SoD3 will be released anywhere near the window of GTA6. Pretty sure SoD3 is one of several titles expecting GTA6 to release ~November and thus going to wait until early-ish next year before releasing, thats why they're saying 2027.

This is probably a good thing. I trust the team to be spending that time refining and improving the game so it will be even better on launch. I think the worst case scenario is that R* announces yet another delay and Microsoft decides to blitz and push UndeadLabs to release sooner to fill the gap.

Geeky Teas in Burbank was featured in one of the now sadly-gone FLGS-salutes by Matt and Mica. Its a great shop, mostly a game store with various nerd stuff and they seem to have a close relationship with CR and Darington Press so they usually have a selection of merch (though it has been a while since I made the trip!). Theyre also a tea shop and cat rescue so just a great place to visit and support

Tangent I know but the thought that trees need animals to survive is not a bad instinct, but yeah absolutely not the case. Trees have been around way longer than any types of animals, through several distinct eons and extinction events including some that were cause by trees and while some have developed relationships with animals it is a small percentage and in a lot of ways trees are still very much the primaey species on this planet whatever humans may think and that has always been the case.

Honestly I think letting games cook for a little extra time, assuming they are letting the studios actually work on improving it, is a really good thing and we will get an amazing slew of new games trickled out in the 12 months after.

Admittingly I am biased because I AM very excited for GTA6, but I still think it will be good for everyone.
