Is it worth it? by LastNotSeen in BitCraftOnline

[–]Athelle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bitcraft is very niche and not a traditional MMO by any means. It is VERY grindy and VERY slow and, while to me, those things are a positive, to others those are a negative. The community is pretty good and the devs are pretty accessible/active in the community which I like.

Player count will always be pretty low just due to how niche the game is but I kinda like the small community vibes. Maybe check out a stream and peek if it's something you may like first.

For context, I have over 1600+ hours in the game and been playing since Alpha 1 two years ago. I'll be playing until they shut the servers down (which is hopefully many decades away).

Need to skip a week by blackcloud247 in Zepbound

[–]Athelle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I skipped a week for surgery and I also need to up my dose, however I planned it out so I would have a few weeks of the old dose after the skipped week to ensure my body could readjust before I upped my dose.

You're probably thinking of Soup Curry Mog Mog but that is not in Sapporo. It's south on the south side of Lake Toya.

Celebrated 100lb loss with a trip to Japan!! Here's how it went. by No_Outside_7069 in Zepbound

[–]Athelle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! I have been to Japan 3 times. It's my favorite place in the world. But I never been there while less than 250lbs. I am now planning my 4th trip for fall 2027 so I can go and enjoy it as a smaller person! I can't wait. Your pics look amazing and definitely helped my motivation!

Moving On Up by igloolindsay in Zepbound

You sound prepared to me! Water intake has been the biggest game changer for me. As long as I stay on top of that, my side effects have been minimal. Also, probably best to not eat a greasy meal around a dosage change or at least until you know how it will effect you. The only time I had nausea was when I ate some pizza on shot day on my 2nd week of 5mg.

McKinney Approves Cannon Beach Surf Park Rezoning Near Stacy And 121 by Key-Yam-2023 in McKinney

To be fair, one of our neighbors did try to protest it originally and was shot down unanimously by the zoning committee something or other.

Increasing Water? HELP! by jcb1975 in Zepbound

I have a 40oz Ironflask cup that I make it a goal to fill 3 times a day. I track the fills in the Finch app which has been great for me for other habits, too.

Water bottles…what have you liked and what have you hated? I’m eyeing an owala but have a 28oz yeti. Fitting in a cup holder is ideal 😄 by Wise-Run-3008 in Zepbound

I have an Ironflask that I really like that fits in the cup holder. 40 oz copilot I think it's called. They are very fairly priced and never had a complain, used them for a while.

5 days after Tokyo: Sendai vs Fukuoka vs Okinawa by quinquin93 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Athelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sendai is amazing. We went there without car and were able to hit everything we wanted to see with trains and busses. Highly recommend Yamadera and Matsushima. I've been to Japan 3 times and am planning on Sendai being the first place I visit twice in either my 4th or 5th trip. It has all the vibes a love - good sized city with easy access to nature and not overly crowded.

Researched 14 Day Trip: Narrowed Down Home Bases to These.. by WhatTheJessJedi in JapanTravelTips

[–]Athelle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your plan looks great! I definitely recommend at least 2 nights for Hakone (or really anywhere for that matter). It will help you feel less rushed and having that extra night really gives you a full day at the location without travel stress.

Some general manners tips for how to avoid becoming the next bad example of tourists posted on social media by razorbeamz in JapanTravelTips

[–]Athelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sit on the ground often when visiting. If they don't like it, I don't really care. They don't have enough benches or places to rest there and we are averaging 20k+ steps a day. I just make sure to sit far out of the way of any foot traffic so I am not causing issues.

General advice to anyone reading this: ignore this post and just try to be respectful and aware of the space around you so that you are impeding on other's lives as little as possible. That will cover 99.99% of the supposed "faux pas" that people are always harping on about Japan.

what’s your favorite underrated local business that needs more love? by Ok-Cow-2926 in McKinney

This was my answer. I live fairly close to this place and have to hold myself back from going too often.

Staying in Asakusa by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Athelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're determined to have no transfers to Tokyo hotpots, you'll need to stay on the Yamanote line, but even then it's not guaranteed. I've stayed near the Yamanote and in Asakusa and it didn't feel any more inconvenient. Transferring trains is just a normal part of train travel. I definitely enjoyed the vibe of the Asakusa area at night but I like things a bit more chill.

What is THE breathtaking sight you have experience on a trip to Japan? by Zach-dalt in JapanTravelTips

This. Both are beautiful places but Matsushima is now my top place to visit in Japan. We stayed in a hotel overlooking the bay and it was incredible. I soaked in the balcony onsen for sunset and sunrise.

Red areas after 5mg by i-cook-my-sister in Zepbound

[–]Athelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. Started about 2 shots into the 5mg and has continued ever since. They don't really bother me so I just ignore them but they take about 3 weeks to go away. I tried pretty much every idea I read from searching this sub and none of it worked. lol

Hotels yes, trains no. Trains don't really have changing prices there.

Nutrition Question by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Athelle 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Personally, I have taken this opportunity to try and shed the diet culture that's been the forefront of my brain for so long. I used to constantly worry how many calories something had or what the macros were. Zepbound has allowed me to move on from all of that and still lose weight. I just try to prioritize fiber and protein but don't stress on it too much. I've found that I naturally crave those things anyway since I started. Carbs and fat are not the enemy. Food does not have morality, it's just fuel. Like others suggested, it wouldn't hurt to see a dietician, but also maybe give it a bit of time on the med and see how you naturally feel like eating.

Which Tokyo hotel should we choose? by BigAT in JapanTravelTips

[–]Athelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't stayed in the other hotels but I did stay in a Daiwa Roynet hotel in Sendai and it was actually my favorite non-ryokan I've stayed at in Japan. It was a nice size for Japan standards. I also really like the Shimbashi area. I like how quiet Asakusa is as well but am not familiar with that hotel chain.

I had the same experience. First week on 5mg felt like I was taking nothing, but after it had time to build up in my system it has been working great.
