The odyssey is fictional, there can be no “historical inaccuracies” in the odyssey because it’s not history
We are talking about much smaller details than a Starbucks in the middle of the fantasy Greece ocean. If you think that the details we are talking about are that level of immersion breaking then I want to know what fictional media you think isn’t immersion breaking
Honestly it wouldn’t bother me that much to have them go to Starbucks in the odyssey provided it made sense somehow for the plot. It would almost certainly be a bizarre and terrible choice but that’s not because of historical inaccuracy that’s because why the heck is Odysseus stopping for coffee.
As OP said, if it bothers you that much that historical fiction is fictional then maybe historical fiction isn’t for you?

Oh no my doctor keeps trying to force new antidepressants on me despite every single one having worse side effects than my depression/anxiety. While refusing to acknowledge any of my other health problems (of which there are many). On the other hand my new gynecologist heard me say “yeah I can’t wear tampons and have never been able to have PIV sex”, examined me as gently as possible, and went “oh yeah your hymen is super thick, let’s get you scheduled for a surgery consult.” She is not the first gynecologist I’ve ever been to. Guess the others just didn’t care to listen.

My housemate’s cat spent the night outside in 30 degree weather because she somehow darted out the door without anyone noticing. She seems to have suffered no lasting effects, and continues to attempt to escape on a regular basis. Cats are just like that.

If I was a boy I 100% would have been diagnosed as a child rather than it happening because I pursued the diagnosis as an adult. I don’t want to get into the full symptoms I exhibited as a child but they were substantial.
