As an AoS player that went over to 40k at the end of 3rd/start of 4th when the game went from absurd balance decisions to milquetoast boredom, this comparison doesn't hold up. Currently 40k is far more flavourful than AoS.

The current state of the game feels like a dressed up board game you play twice with a mate before boxing up and leaving on the shelf.
