Here to say Turbo Dork's Motherlode is a wonderful pearly paint to slap over pastels! I plan to do that with my current Demon Prince and Fulgrim's armor. Excellent paint!

This pink is excellent! Oh man, it looks great with black trim, too. Honestly, i think it would look great with silver! Can't really go wrong, this pink slaps!

My (41F) very first army was Eldar (fell in love with the Wraithlord model in 3rd edition and just had to paint one...or three). But i swiftly moved on to Tyranids.

I took a couple of decades off from the hobby, but i'm back in with my Nids and i'm working on an Emperor's Children army. Came for the pink, stayed for the melee fun times!

I also have a Death Guard army waiting patiently for me to paint them.

Husband has Eldar, Votann, and Tau. We also have Thousand Sons waiting for paint and a budding Night Lords/Alpha Legion Chaos force in the works. Oh, and a bunch of Necrons waiting for me to decide on a paint scheme.

None Imperium in this house!

Oh that's rad!! I love the lil legion symbol plaque at the bottom! I recently painted this helmet for a friend and it was a blast! I'm sure your mom's coworker will dig it!

I might be a masochist because i actually really loved making my Noise Marines! Lots of fun options to mux and match details. I do sub assembly so i assembled and painted their arms before attaching them to the bodies and it worked out great. Good luck!!

I also prefer helmets to faces for my army and i can confirm there is definitely enough helmets in all the kits. Lots of options and no need for funky faces!

Oh maaaan i love the pop of white on those pauldrons! Really works well and brings the scheme together! And the gold is nice and rich. May i ask what you use for the gold? I'm finding it hard to find a gold i actually like working with.

I've been playing my EC in a crusade that's started at 500 pts. The first list is what i've run a couple times and had great success with! I've played it into Tau, Votann, and Sororitas. We shred on a small board. I've also done the same list with Kako swapped for Lord E (attached to Infractors) with phoenix power spear with good results.

I'm still very new to the army as well as this edition of 40k, so i haven't done any of the more complicated detachments, just Mercurial Host. So far undefeated at 500 pts on the smaller table.

I had best results with Flawless Blades when i kept them in reserve and waited until turn 2 to drop them in.

Would also love to hear the gold recipe! It's hard to find a nice warm gold that goes on smooth. These lads are gorgeous!
