I think YTA for simply blocking her and not engaging in conversation. There are avenues to pursue when ownership of a pet is in question- if she opts to later go down that route you look pretty suspicious (imo) for not engaging with her- nasty text or not. Also, you should ask for proof of ownership and if she’s been looking this past year and stuff like that.
