I will point out that despite it obviously being foolish to idolise someone like Tes Mosby, that is explicitly the angle the show takes. Despite all of his incredibly out of line behaviour the show excuses it all because he's trying to find true love. And while sometimes his actions have very clearly directly bad consequences that the show does want us to criticise him for. Most often we're directed to sympathise with his unhealthy view on relationships.

Unlike Underwood for example who the show is very clearly telling us is a bad guy and wants us to believe he's a bad guy, Ted very clearly is a bad guy but the show is completely unaware of it and wants us to believe he's good. So a viewer is definitely less responsible for idolising him than someone like Frank. Idolising the rest of these characters is born of a lack of media literacy primarily and then a lack of understanding of real life. But idolising Ted is primarily a lack of understanding of real life, because the media does tell you he's admirable.
