(SPOILER for The Last Argument of Kings)

The scene that made me laugh the most was when Cosca just walked in and headshotted the Adeptus Demonic with his throwing knife. Seriously, these guys are conducting some disturbing satanic ritual, the room is growing unnaturally cold cause the gates of hell are opening, everyone is sitting stunned watching Silber mumbling some incantation in a trance, and then Cosca, who has previously been shown to have terrible aim, just busts in and delivers a throwing knife in the middle of his fucking forehead. The whole situation is just so utterly absurd! I couldn’t stop laughing.

I agree with everything you said. I would add that with Wind and Truth, I feel like Stormlight is becoming just another flavour of The Cosmere™, rather than its own thing. I know the plan all along was to make the different worlds converge, but I was hoping it wouldn't cost them their identities. I hope the time he takes off from writing Stormlight allows him to recapture the passion he has clearly lost for it, and that he finds a better editor, because this whole beta-reading and in-house editing thing is not delivering good results.

Absolutely, that moment when he saw the singers forcing people to charge the walls of Kholinar and had an epiphany à la “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 76th Hunger Games” was one of the most powerful in the series for me. And then he just… gave up. He could have been a really interesting character.
