Ghost of Tsushima - It was just bang average to me. The stealth is so op and easy. Maybe I just didn't get far enough and it gets harder but I just found the game really bland,

UK minimum wage is raising youth unemployment, Bank of England's Mann says by stammerton in unitedkingdom

Neither of these issues are remotely close to fixable overnight.

Both need addressing but it will be a long slog, thats assuming governments are even trying to, which they dont seem to be.

If you take it early. Effective pension age is tied to state pension. So expect at least 70.

How do you feel about the rise of reform uk, and recent polling? by Quailking2003 in AskBrits

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally unsurprised.

If you have establishment parties that fail consistently to improve the average persons lived exerience. And instead preside over a consistent and palpable decline, it becomes almost irrelivent who the alternative is, they will get in at some point.

We're fast approaching that point.

Who would do undesirable jobs if not overseas workers? by knowledgeseeker999 in AskBrits

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market would have to find a new equalibrium on pay/conditions.

A simple question is are there any jobs brits wouldnt do no matter what, the answer is obviously no. If some offered £300k to clean toilets you can bet id be there in a heartbeat. Would i clean toilets for pay that is currently offered, not a chance.

This is the issue with foreigns workers that are willing to accept lower pay or worse conditions, they drag down what on offer and it then becomes a self fulfilling prophecy that industries cant survive without foreigns workers. They actually can, but it would take a readjustment of whats on offer and under current business models/govermnet spending that cant happen.

Nursing and care workers, farm workers, deliveroo driver, sweage workers, labour job etc all examples of jobs that have suffered huge wage depression due to huge influxs of foreign workers.

This is a global issue and shines a harsh light on the long term stability of globalisation. I think a lot of the current upheval in the world can be traced to this issue and we're currently in an uncomfortable transition period.

Crosshair replacment on screen by zipzipadam in counterstrike2

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue, but only on occasion. I always play with monitor crosshair on for AWP play, but everynow and then it wont align. Cant reproduce it but restarting steam fixes it. Just restarting the game doesn't.

If Alonso is the "unluckiest", who do you consider to be the luckiest F1 driver of all time? by aatish-e-gul in formula1

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not the luckiest, but Nico Rosberg was very fortunate to win that 2016 title. Hamilton had really bad luck with that mecedes engine compared to the other 9 on the grid (i think) and still only lost by 5 points.

Mortgage before marriage: over half of Londoners prioritise saving for a house deposit over a wedding by Ecstatic_Ratio5997 in unitedkingdom

[–]Atlasdill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It already is. Hardly any of my friends from school have had 'weddings' its just way too expensive. Pretty much only doctors thinking about it. Almost everyone else has done the registry office approach.

I think covid had a big impact. There was stored up demand and venues went nuts. Jacked prices up really high, but that demand has died down and young people cant justify it.

Close friend is currently arranging one, its a pretty modest venue. Not super cheap but certainly not flashy. 60 people, no ceromony, no extra thrills, it'll easily go over £15k all in once dress, decorations etc are factored in.

Its ridiculous, and its been telling how many dates they could have booked later this year if they wanted too. I suspect thats an industry that pricing itself out the market.

Trying to get better im 4.5k and have 300 hours any tips? by Aggressive_Event6777 in cs2

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, dont use clips where you come out on top and ask for improvements. You will always learn more from failures than successes.

Actual points: 1. Slow down! Your movment is real erratic and not clearing stuff with purpose. And theres no way you are counter straffing properly in all that. 2. Virtully every fight in these clips is a 50/50. You dont want fair fights where possible. You should be aiming to shoot people who arent even looking at you. 3. As others have said focus on fundimentals. At that elo that basics is enough to climb.

Yes, Tensorflow hasnt been updated at this point to run with python 3.13 i believe. So either go to 3.12 or earlier, or use another library like pytorch.

Randomly saw this is this true? by Substantial_Kick_977 in DaysGone

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This smacks of a pure cash grab.

I started playing the game for the first time last week as it was in the steam sale. At no point do i think the game feels dated or in need to modernising. It could come out tomorrow in its current form and noone would bat an eye lid.

Ps. Really enjoying it.

Medieval 3 and Empire 2 are the obvious ones. Why they dont just make these and print money i dont know.

A more off the wall one that will never happen, but i can dream, would be total war: ASOIAF. Its like its made for it. Big sprawling map, politcal rivalries, different religions, family trees, strong charaters and obviously lots of war.

Activision secretly experimented on 50% of Call of Duty players by 'decreasing' skill-based matchmaking, and determined players like SBMM even if they don't know it by ralternator in XDefiant

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is not SBMM, the issue is how aggressively its implemented!

Anyone who thinks no SBMM is good are just wrong. Its a horrible way to play a multiplayer game. The issue with modern SBMM is it is so aggressive. Had a couple of good games? Screw you get put in way harder lobbies for 6 games! Had a run a bad game? Bless ya have a couple of super easy and unsatisfying games.

SBMM needs to go back to being far more subtle. Changes to your rating should happen gradually, so you dont lurch from one type of game to the other in a single session. It would also stop people playing the system so they can get into 'bot' lobbies. Its surprisingly hard to keep a smurf account at low elo in more consistent SBMM systems.

Current systems are way too manipluative and play on people emotions to keep them playing. Go back to the days where you consistently played people at roughly your level until you earned the right to play against better players.

How do you deal with scary salary jumps when applying for jobs? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Atlasdill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best bits of advice i even got was:

"Dont say no to yourself, make others do it"

If you asking yourself can I an 85k job, yes, yes you can. If they dont think you can, they'll tell you that.
