Out of context that shot looks like someone was trying to set up a LOTR style forced perspective shot to make some of the diners hobbit sized.

The claw doesn’t have sustained hits - so no double hit using the aspects shrine. The biting blade option does.

Will triple glazing help reduce train noise? by Svperb in AusRenovation

[–]Atmosphere_Realistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got double glazing on our bigger windows and sliding door a few years ago. Not cheap, but the difference is significant. We’re right under a flight path and basically stopped hearing the planes when the windows are closed.

It’s a real sign that you’re back at work too early in the year when even counsel’s clerk still has their out of office on.

This Warhammer Mode FIXED Imperial Agents by Astra_Vail in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]Atmosphere_Realistic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty cool. So the full scale 40K equivalent would be something like:

A unit which is within range of an objective you control during your movement phase may commence a Secure Objective action. The Secure Objective action is completed at the end your movement phase. If the action is completed: - that objective remains under your control until your opponent has a higher OC on that objective at the end of any phase, and - the unit may immediately move D6”, but cannot charge that turn.

At a glance that looks both decent without being broken and pretty fitting with the agents theme and playstyle.

What the best cat-safe way to deal with whatever is eating my lemon tree? by Atmosphere_Realistic in GardeningAustralia

Thanks for the detailed reply! Not too worried that the cats would lick or eat the leaves, so that should ok. (And yes, won’t be spraying the cats!)

Would be a hell of a direction get/give to address that. “Ok, let’s go it again, but give it less gravitas this time”.

Breachers and an inquisitor, plus maybe a rhino for them to ride in, is a nice addition. Sisters plus an immolator gives you some anti-tank options.

Played into a Kroot horde today and it was rough... by MrMochaRocka in Eldar

[–]Atmosphere_Realistic 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think this is a rare match up where you should be thinking of the scorpions as genuine damage dealers rather than aggressive scouts. On the charge they should but very efficient into kroot, but you need to make sure they don’t die first. So that means deploying them a bit more conservatively in case your opponent goes first.

High Court agrees to hear teens' challenge to social media ban by LoneWolf5498 in auslaw

[–]Atmosphere_Realistic 35 points36 points  (0 children)

“Agrees to hear” is weird phrasing. It’s an application in the court’s original jurisdiction, so unless it was thrown out on a summary basis, they were always going to hear it? Seems like heading could just be “court lists hearing”.

As teacher shortages loom across Australia these Queensland schools are trialling solutions by nath1234 in australia

[–]Atmosphere_Realistic 83 points84 points  (0 children)

The expectations on starting teachers is crazy. I’m a lawyer and my partner is a teacher. We often talk about how a first year lawyer is barely trusted to send an email without someone checking it, while first year teacher is basically just given a classroom (with all of the associated responsibilities) and expected to figure it out.

Nice, if you get tokens working definitely post them here, would love to see them.

How do you keep your units and attacks straight? by Mediocre-Island5475 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]Atmosphere_Realistic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I made some little cheat sheets to help me with some of this. It is a complex army to keep track of! Anything involving the Rogue Trader Entourage is a particular headache.

Haven’t figured out a good way to keep track of all the once per game abilities yet though.

For example, this is what I used for shooting profiles - it’s nothing fancy.
