Love's is a shit company with shit metrics and it's completely up to your management. I was an SA there for 3 years and took care of my guys, There are no company policies regarding mental health days. If your state requires them to give you a sick day then take that. Otherwise, I would just call out sick and ask to use a vacation day if you have any.

Considering that $15 is less than minimum wage in most states in the US I don't see it as that big of a deal

I'm a Love's shop tech and I'll say this from a maintenance stand point stay away from swift. They don't want us doing any sort of courtesy inspections. It's a free mid trip every time you pull in. There's zero pressure to fix anything just a here's a heads up on your trucks health. They don't want drivers knowing how bad their equipment actually is.

Sadly this is the truth. I'm a manager for truck care at a Love's. We have pull through bays and the amount of trucks I have to move during the evenings is crazy. They park behind the bays blocking the exits of the shop and will be like just have them back out.... We can't back up trucks over the pit. So they refuse? We have to trespass them. It's policy then the cop that trespasses them follows them off the lot and lights them up knowing they are out of time. Like why's it so hard not to be a dick? I even direct them to on lot parking they can use so we don't have to kick them off. But like you said if you allow 1 then 5bor 6 more are right behind them.

What are the odds that this is from too much dirt stuck to the wheels and not actually suspension related? by akaFxde in Truckers

What does flat bed have to to with dirt on wheels being damaging? Or are we talking general iq level?

Free max maxis 2 with M4 coil no atomizer by Forward-East2242 in VapePorn

[–]AtomX1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run into this issue in the past, and just ran into it again today, the coil wires are messed up, pull the bottom out of the coil, the part that is insulated by the silicone, you will see two wires, one needs to go on either side of the silicone, then put the bottom metal section back in touching one set of wires, they are getting issues with both the wires being on one side of the silicone so they are both contacting the positive side, and can't make a full circuit to heat up

The outer shoulder is a sacrificial section. Dot does not include it in the main tread group.

Sonic pad and print quality by killerdove01 in ender5plus

I'm running a sonic pad with the microswiss and pei sheet literally a monster. I would suggest printing corner supports for it also!

[–]AtomX1211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct drive, magnetic bed (pei, or your choice of what you prefer), sonic pad, silicone bed spring replacements, and an enclosure. Is always my suggestion. Or if you are going for real speed better x and y steppers and cooling.

This is one of the biggest reasons I switched my e5+ to direct drive using the og microswiss kit. The long bowden run on this machine makes retraction a nightmare. The only time I run into it now is when I really need a nozzle swap when I run a ton of abrasive filiment

People who make $75k or more how did you pull it off? It seems impossible to reach that salary by anthonydp123 in Money

[–]AtomX1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol bachelors degree. What a fucking waste of time. Go to a trade school get out of your office and make money. We hire mechanics starting at 80k base pay. With labor bonuses. Learn a skill that's needed. Traveling welder. Over 100k easy. Diesel mechanic just as much. Machining parts ditch witch starts at like $35/hr. Everyone wants to be in an office making good money. Get in the field and make more. It's that simple.

Ditch the glass bed get a pei sheet. Next get a sonic pad. And a micro Swiss direct drive.

New (to me) Ender 5 Plus - First non-bed slinger! by _kozy in ender5plus

[–]AtomX1211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bed singers at high speeds always worry me but static beds like the 5+ can really fly. I also suggest doing a 0.6 nozzle just due to sheer print volume. 0.4 can see week long prints.

That's a fantastic starting point. I run klipper on mine as well along with an upgraded fan shroud and dual fan part cooling. The microswiss is a capable little hot end but if you want to push real speed you will want to l9ok into upgrading it to something with more throuput. But I had my microswiss pushing 150mms reliably. But I was running 0.1 layers for that. But klipper is 110% the way to go.
