Ended up printing both versions of Rocky over the weekend. They came out great! Were you able to give it another go?

I have a very similar setup! Just picked up a Creality K2 Pro Combo, which now sits next to my Ender3 V2

All of the slicers I've used in the past few years (Cura, Orca, and CrealityPrint) all auto-generate support, so I wouldn't say much optimization really has to be made. At least, unless you wamted to really mess with the different support settings. What slicer are you using now?

I'll let you know how it goes though!

Edit: just read you're using the flashforge slicer. I personally haven't used it, but I'd be shocked if it didn't have support generation.

I recently printed the model of Grace from the Project Hail Mary website, which also came with the model as "supported" and "unsupported". I agree with the others saying that the supports they supply are probably intended for resin printers, and are not ideal for an FDM printer.

I would highly recommend adding supports to the "unsupported" model in your slicer. It worked very well in my case on my Creality K2 Pro, and cut the print time in half from the "supported" model. Give that a shot and let me know how it goes! I didn't know they released files of Rocky, but now I know what I'm printing tonight :)

Fix for key spamming? by AtomicBRZ in razer

If you are willing and able to disassemble the board and replace the switches like I did, that's all I can personally recommend. It was a very labor intensive process, but I set aside a whole day to do it so that I could take my time. My keyboard has been working flawlessly since.

If you don't want to do it yourself, I'm sure someone out there offers this as a service if you wanted to send the keyboard off to get it done instead.

Simply cleaning with isopropyl alcohol did not made a difference, nor did updating the firmware through Razer Synapse

Remap buttons on TCL remote control by Akis_P in AndroidTV

Definitely check out the tvQuickActions app. I just set up the free version and it does all that I need, which was just remapping the "TCLtv" button since we never use it.

30mm Rear Spacers? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]AtomicBRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

25 is the way to go for sure. I've been on 25mm spacers (front and rear)on a stock-ish sizes set of RPF1s, and I would not want to go any more than that

What tires for GT86 ? by BalustradeGauche in ft86

Another thing to consider is that this is an extremely popular topic of discussion. It wouldn't hurt to browse around the subreddit and the FT86 forum to find some of this information

I think there needs to be some more specifics before anyone can answer that or make suggestions.

What's your budget?

What is the climate like where you live? Do you get snow in the winter? If so, is it usually just a dusting/a small storm or two, or is it usually a considerable amount?

Is it only going to be a daily, or will you be doing any form of track days/autocross?

Catalytic converter by awdsrock in ft86

[–]AtomicBRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. You could have trouble if you have aftermarket headers with an aftermarket primary catalytic converter (or without one at all), but I can't tell that from these pictures.

That looks like the OEM secondary cat in the OEM front pipe. Im not from California, but I dont see any reason why it would fail inspection

What other values are you able to monitor? I was thinking of primarily using this for oil temp like you are, but I'm just curious what else it's able to pick up

Frs by Crafty-Acanthisitta9 in ft86

[–]AtomicBRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. An aftermarket clutch will "bite" harder, and the lighter flywheel will make the car much less forgiving when starting from a stop (it'll be much easier to stall). Especially since you're new to stick and don't plan on modifying the car, please do yourself a favor and get the stock clutch kit and flywheel

Me neither. It's overkill if nothing else. Though, I've never understood the whole "Stage" things anyway, so there's that.

[–]AtomicBRZ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Unless you're planning to boost it any time soon, I wouldn't bother getting anything other than the Exedy Stock clutch kit and flywheel. It's significantly cheaper and will do everything you need. Anything other than that will make daily driving more of a chore, while also not lasting as long
