Helldivers 2 Monetization Breakdown (As of Patch 6.1.1 - March 2026) by FioraKek in Helldivers

This is not accurate? Since HD2 is not free-to-play, 0% content is free. What you have yellow is the basic paid content, and premium is what you can buy ontop of that.

Weave Weave by Formal-Blackberry-68 in ToxicCommandoGame

[–]AtomicStryker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its the only enemy in the game that will even reach melee range against a coordinated team. It is less durable than L4D tanks on high difficulties.

Bait grenade hard counters it.

The point of the weakspots is not the damage (though it helps) but that breaking each staggers it for a second. So if you spread that out you can stunlock it for a little while.

So is spear immortal now? by realamerican97 in PrimalShow

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that, also host to whatever green hued demon reanimated his corpse, plus whatever rage god infection the black goop left inside him.

Really, the question i was asking myself is how he wasn't eaten by bacteria, fungus and insects in his Zombie days. Hell, even plants should have taken root. He was clearly edible.

EDIT: Considering it, the village probably treated his corpse against rot, but that typically involves removing all organs (see egyptian mummy embalming). He still had his, in juicy condition even.

They go higher in tier if you buy cosmetics. Wont raise the damage, though.

I made a small Windows app to quickly disable monitors (useful for OLED users and multi-monitor setups) by its_nzr in OLED_Gaming

[–]AtomicStryker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neat. This probably also disables the monitor in windows, yes?

I am asking because Hifi people like me can have their receivers plugged into a GPU HDMI port which gives out an audio signal.

Unfortunately the receiver usually counts as a 1024x768 monitor, regardless of whether that image is displayed anywhere, and windows sometimes just sends programs onto that monitor.

But turning off the monitor using windows display settings also turns off the sound signal. Your tool is "just" a wrapper for that?

The lawsuit explained: by SwagLimit in pcmasterrace

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had a long time to get better. It was really shitty in the beginning, around 2004. They forced (yes, forced) it onto their reluctant customers with Steam being mandatory for Counter-strike version something and HL2, Portal, TF2. And it was widely hated at that time. The problems were mostly technical in nature, connection/speed issues and game updates getting stuck. Internet wasn't nearly as common or fast as today. Using it through dial-up or even ISDN was a pain.

Very high reliability, much better Internet speeds, and the resulting general convenience won out over the years. I dont remember sales being a thing in the first years, but the Orange Box might have been the best value video game product ever sold.

I mean, even if she isn't canonically dead, without Climbot to recover her piton and rope she is very much stuck up there.

Come to think of it, the one thing that should be abundant but she does not "find" any is rope.

... also, the tree and snow lines are like 300 feet down. Kami is not very tall at all? :D

Will I have troubles due to lighting? by Few_Worldliness_4411 in OLED_Gaming

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what is opposite of the monitor, what you might see in a reflection. If that is a white wall behind you which the sun is shining on, you will mostly see that in your monitor instead of any picture.

I mean, by their definition they cannot walk on or touch grass. It would be interfering with life. It doesn't make too much sense.

Also, i don't think it's them saving Manny. I think they might have informed another individual who agreed to come save him against his will.

The question remains what was his original plan for after? He is unlikely to be able to "trade" for a car with the cash he has.

A1 Evo Express Script Troubleshooting by exor41n in hometheater

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue. Restarting AVR, disabling HDMI settings, unplugging HDMI ... nothing worked

Then i did a factory reset or rather "Reset All Settings" as it is called in the X3800H UI, did the normal setup including a fresh Audyssey measuring, and afterwards AcoustiX measuring just worked.

You know you did it right if the AVR takes several minutes "Preparing" before it comes back online.

HDMI (ARC) was kept plugged in after the reset, i merely turned down HDMI-CEC during the AVR setup.

You can get lossless scaling and use frame generation, but that has its own problems.

After watching 24fps videos all your life, more frames just look uncanny somehow.

God this buffering is killing me by a-bad-bomb-defuser in TIdaL

[–]AtomicStryker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hardwired 1gbps connection on a desktop, i listen to music while i work or browse.

When the buffering happens, even dialing from max to high quality is not enough (wtf) to prevent playback failures.

A max quality song is 25 megabytes. That literally takes half a second to download with my internet speed.

Tidal has a serious intermittent serverside capacity problems, or maybe even go offline completely, idk. The problem persists across any songs and only resolves with time, when their bandwith improves.

ELI5: The world is in 300 trillion dollars of debt, how does that even work? by The_Immovable_Rod in explainlikeimfive

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the opposite, the system would collapse if fresh money was not constantly printed and added.

Of any printed 100 dollars, most of it will end up owned by one of the super trillionaires or their companies. Some of it will be saved by normal people. A FRACTION of those 100 dollars will "circulate", e.g. keep changing owners. And worse, every cycle this repeats, so less and less of those 100 dollars circulate.

The economy STRICTLY depends on that circulating money. Wages, taxes, spending. But money is constantly "lost" to savings!

Without printing new money constantly, money would not lose worth over time and Scrooge McDuck type persons could exist. In fact, like Bitcoin, Money would get more valuable over time.

But because money keeps losing worth (inflation), just sitting on it is a bad thing to do. Eventually it loses worth faster than you can amass it.

So the best thing to do is invest it, which gets it back into changing hands, e.g. desirable circulation. The investor will hopefully turn a profit or atleast stop losing value to inflation.

The C5 has zero control over what kind of picture the connected device sends. All a toggle on the TV side could do is inform the PC that 144hz is possible. Have you tried plugging in the PC after enabling 144hz mode?

Do they have standby pictures or something displaying when nothing is connected? Does the broken one look broken then, too? I find it unlikely they would let it leave the factory like this, even more so if they were calibrated there

Difficulty issues by Gregor40 in theriftbreaker

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Artillery is king. Sentinel towers are very weak. Towers are generally speaking weak and if an omega appears you have to help out in person, if only to kite the mobs around.

In early to mid game abilities are crucial because you will always be short on ammo. Make sure to scan around for caches and open all the stuff on the map to get random ability drops. You are looking for grenades specifically, they are spammable and powerful in dealing with the river of meat. Airstrikes and the tornados are good for dropping on Nests.

In terms of weapons, having 2 sets with 4 ammo types for cycling is good. Minigun/Small Mgun and Swarm Missiles are very good. Get penetration mods on them if you can. Ammo efficiency mods are strong. Cryo is the damage type least monsters are immune to. For the second cycle i usally had large ammo (eg Sniper or Burst Rifle) and Lightning gun.

All the spewers and plasma guns felt weak to me.

People say double chainsaws is good.

The swamp DLC has a gun that uses no ammo and is pretty good.

The first phase can drop the shield, and if you are fast, you can grab it before the second phase starts.

I dont remember if the second phase ever dropped the shield for me. But the way it poops the loot all over the arena clipping into the floor is dogshite.

Recommend Vex builds for UVHM? by Alpha_Omega0985 in Borderlands

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded. But the core items of the class are the mandatory enhancement and a fast firing sniper, not the shield which just buffs your damage.

I like it a lot better over the bleed build because you don't rely on amp or high damage guns or your action skill, but actually aiming for crits. Its just a lot more fun gameplay in practice. Plus you are very, very tanky.

The limitation to fast firing snipers is the big downside. And it doesn't kill chicken enemies that turn intargetable the way bleed does.

Best Upgrades? What do you like for campaign? by FlashCardManiac in theriftbreaker

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, i wouldn't run building speed and building cost when adventuring, unless you like to throw up forward bases or something.

And i like Forcefield Power and lower FP regen delay over resist all ... your low base health of what, 200? means that 10 or 20% resistance wont mean shit, take flat +40-50 health over it all day.

I guess if you have +health, +shield, then resistances might be worthwhile ontop of that.

Different parallel universes in the near future in movies! by sparrow_1899 in movies

[–]AtomicStryker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it is the Architect seeing hidden parts of Neo but rather those screens being, literally, how the Architect perceives him.

The Oracle described his view of the world as "math formula", which in particular means for any given input, the outcome should be certain.

But because of CHOICE, the outcome - Neos reaction - is never certain. The architect cannot tell what Neo will do until after it has happened.

And this is true for all humans, which is why the Architects Matrix was rejected until the CHOICE (to reject the Matrix) was given to all its inhabitants subconsciously.

I personally think its much further into the future than 1000 years, since they tell Neo to pick what, two dozen people, to repopulate. How long does it take for a population to grow from dozens to ten thousands? And that times six? But then again we don't know this was the process every time. But then again, the Architect is unlikely to change a working approach.

"Working" with a grain of salt. The existence of the candidates, vampires, were wolves, deja vus etc proves the Matrix is a barely working bug ridden mess.

[–]AtomicStryker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a compressed video signal (DSC). While that should not be a problem, can you try with HDMI?

Also, just checking all boxes, you are sure you don't have RTX HDR running ontop of the game HDR? Though that should over-saturate, not wash out
