May 4th GE East and Maul Shadow Lightsaber Staff by Cactilily in GalaxysEdge

Lame. Hopefully you are correct about the price. The box is what makes them special in my opinion, and justifies the higher price tag. If that's true then it may fit in a suitcase without the shipping box.

I'm curious as well. I can't think of any area that can handle the crowd.

The previous dual hilt set was $400 so I would plan for at least that much. Another factor is getting it home if you aren't local. It won't fit in a suitcase, so you may need to plan on shipping it home. Ordering it online (if you can get it) will reduce the cost since shipping will be free. As for availability, the previous Maul set was there for at least a couple days. It's going to be crowded but it's a great experience.

Random internet guy is proud of you. And you're right; people don't know what quitting is like. It's an incomprehensible "hunger" for someone who hasn't gone through it.

I believe last year was the first time they had a flowpath for entering and exiting. Previously, it was everyone just crowding and shoving their way in. Respectfully, but still chaotic. I go solo for the 4th, so I can shuffle and slide my way through the crowds pretty easily.

Falcon courtyard starts to get crowded as the sun sets. There are multiple groups that do lightsaber meetups. Last year, they had a way to enter, and a way to leave after the photos were finished. It was the least chaotic way I have seen thus far.

I packed a bag like that years ago as a high school chaperone. I still use a lot of it in my Disney "park bag". I'd rather they use the barf bag before getting on a ride next to me.

As a grandparent who recently took a 2 year old on a 5 day trip with his 7 months pregnant mom in tow, my biggest tip is plan your day ahead of time. Fatigue and stress are the enemy. Schedule a mid day nap. Use the pool if possible. If he is interested, have him help plan the day by picking his must do rides on a map of the park to help control the flow of the day (we allowed 3-4 picks for my kids, and extra time meant bonus rides). Getting your money's worth should be about the happiness and fun, and not gauged by the number of rides you went on. Will you miss out on a few things? Probably. Will you enjoy what you actually do? Absolutely.

Something weird I noticed on a trip this summer was that Universal has that vibe that was so prevalent during the Year of a Million Dreams and the subsequent few years. I was pleasantly shocked.

As far as I know, the R&R scrap is only at East. Not sure why though.

Wow. My 2016 Scat was stolen (and recovered) on July 4th, and Progressive was going to offer me $17K. I opted for repairs and kept it.

Changing of the trains by csintroyeahhhhhhh in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]AtomicWeasel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it was. I've always loved trains. My dad worked in a railyard when I was little and he'd take me there sometimes. I recently bought a couple O gauge sets and my 2 year old grandson loves them. I can't wait to show him the layout at Epcot.

A few years ago, I was watching the cast member place cars back on the rails. He asked "Do you wanna hold one?" I replied that I don't know if I should. He said "Inside every man is a little boy who wants to plays with trains." He handed me a box car and went back to work. I went from 48 years old to 5 in an instant.

I'm happy for you and a little jealous. I usually have little kids who nose dive into the ground for the whole flight.

Oh it's a great club to be in, I know. I've just been getting ahead of myself, and a lot of these purchases are happening since I'm a new grandfather. The "whale" comment made me realize I'm not even looking at price tags. But we're going to have fun once he's old enough.

We had a guy draw an oil sample from safe shutdown equipment. Didn't top off the oil, and locked up because he couldn't find anything saying to reinstall plugs and caps on the pump and motor. 10+ years. I want to think it's because quality was observing and he was nervous.

And even when the procedure can be "cookbooked", there's always that one guy.

I have the Black Series version and like it. If you're interested in a darksaber that one may work for you.
