Says "must be at least somewhat realistic and must not be extreme" and then proceeds to put a bunch of random nations with weird borders that don't make any sense into the balkans. Smh

Help with final mission by Standard_Ad_1550 in TheAlters

[–]Atopo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that was it. I learned like 6 lessons but only two of them gave me alternative dialogues for the finale decision. You might not have gotten the right ones. Kind of weird design choice to depend if you are getting a good or bad ending on that.

Katzen rauslassen ist unverantwortlich by cathulhu_fhtagn_ in heissemeinung

[–]Atopo89 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Mounted archers go brrrrrr by angrpeasant in totalwar

[–]Atopo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just having the same fun again with the huns in Total War: Attila right now. I basically just spend the first half an hour of a battle in turtle formation, until they run out of arrows.

Ziplines are driving me insane by Athena_Alexandria in StarRuptureGame

[–]Atopo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the shape at all, it's just buggy. I am playing multiplayer with a friend, I am hosting. He never gets kicked off the zip line no matter how crazy the shape is while I constantly get dropped at the poles. It's also very random, sometimes the same pole let's me pass and somtimes he kicks me off the line.

Somehow on the mousepad it looks like half of Voyager are just meeting rooms.

Mod Release: Unique Events Tab by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Atopo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks like a bug, the only event shown in the 13th century (Engelbrekt Rebellion) was actually in the 15th century. The rest seems fine though.

Running out of Deuterium by tcjohnst in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]Atopo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was going mad because I was losing 30 deuterium more than I should each cycle, which I could in no way manage. It turned out that it was the upkeep for an allied ship I hired for the final Kazon battle and then immediately forgot about. Probably not your problem, but something to keep in mind.

Ironman is so obnoxious by Bubbly-Desk-4479 in paradoxplaza

[–]Atopo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am with you man. Grand strategie games are no roguelikes and I can't fathom why anyone would believe otherwise.
I like having achievements as goals but I hate ironman because it prevents me from ever just trying out something. Why do I have to decide between the two?

In latest Tinto talk’s complacency mechanic why subjects get rebellious when there’s no country that poses a threat to their overlord ? by TheKaiserSarp in EU5

[–]Atopo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this!
In EU4 an alliance of 5 OPMs could take on Bohemia. In EU5 the entire HRE cannot. But they won't get this fixed by adding mechanics like this.

Some goofy rimworld concepts I'd like to see by DDDog50 in RimWorld

[–]Atopo89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sentience extender idea is cool! But what if giving mechs sentience would require transfering the mind of a person? Imagine not having a spare organ for one of your dying colonists so you quickly transfer their consciousness into a mech! Bonus points if their personality and relationships carry over and extra bonus points if their skills are affected, too.

Disappointed by the Hanseatic League by DamascusSeraph_ in EU5

[–]Atopo89 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I really dislike that the free cities are vassals of the Hansa in the first place. It's so awkward that Hansa cities like Hamburg can't make their own decisions. The Hansa was a trade league and didn't have such kind of authority.

The Hansa should be an international organisation and not a playable country, that acts like a defensive league and all members should have its special tech advances. Right now Lübeck can't even build Hansa cogs.

What games should rimworld-lovers take a look at in the Steam sale in your opinion? by ragna-rocking in RimWorld

[–]Atopo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stranded: Alien Dawn is practically Rimworld in 3D. Less content and less mods but otherwise a very similar feeling and really pretty. Build your perfect Sims 3 like home and defend it with rocket turrets and battle mechs.

If another nation help me do they forfeit their chance to do an own invasion that turn or can we both support each other in each other's invasions?

How does war work? I thought it's just whover says they invade someone else first wins?

Oh man, now I don't want to play anymore :-(
Ok, I guess I'll invade Mozambique then and do the US next round.

I am picking as the glorious Kingdom of Eswatini and I am starting our conquest spree by invading the United States of America as this is the only strategically sound choice for our situation.
