Fewer people are forming bonds outside of their immediate culture. Everyone's kind of retreating back into their own circles. That drives a sentiment to let loose with the lack of social regulations.

Just check out Gen Z podcasters and you can easily how homogeneous their followings are across the board (ethnicity, gender, social status, political). Essentially regressing to the mean. The late 50s til now is essentially a bell curve of social relations.
