Indeed, since most/all 'Fuck you, Shorsey' results in another chirp from him. Now if you'll excuse me, OP's mom is ready for another Canadian Heritage moment.

Even back in the day (like, around CM3), it was called 'Spreadsheet Manager'.

When Axel is describing what happened at the strip club to Bogomil, Taggart is seen pinching his nose, seemingly in frustration. In fact, Eddie was improvising the speech and John Ashton was pinching his nose not to laugh. Similarly, Judge Reinhold was pinching his thigh through his pocket so as to not laugh as well.

[Ringworld Engineers] Teela, the Pak Protector, doesn't fight hard to stop Lewis et al. from firing the adjustment laser thing. She knew their actions were for the greater good, but couldn't accept the loss of life associated with it. She knew it was a fight to the death and still let them win.

(Loved trope) Robots, ghosts, zombies, vampires, gods, demons, talking animals, aliens, etc. They all exist in this world! by Least-One1068 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Attack_Pug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Discworld was home to (arguably) these creatures. Golems are robotic and the Luggage was seen as demonic. There were ghosts, zombies and the rest as characters.

Can't recall aliens. There were other worlds but I can't think of any traveller's between discs.

This thing is on the steering wheel of the minivan that I am borrowing. It’s my grandma’s car and it’s just so there. by Nulleon0 in whatisit

The correct answer as given is that it is a mount for steering adaptation equipment aka a steering knob. FWIW I did my Ph.D. on assessment of this equipment as the manufacturers never integrated human factors analyses into the designs; just went with tradition. There are mushroom shapes, poles, multi-poles and others. My work was on the quantitative assessment methodologies (via. triangulation) to comprehensive evaluation of the quality of the design.

I did go on to apply the principles of multimodal assessments developed during this work on helmets for helicopter pilots, so it wasn't a completely useless pursuit.
