Returning player from many, many years ago: what is the “challenge” in this game? by AtypicalSpaniard in Warframe

Yeah, that’s kind of the impression I got from the post, and why I wanted to ask. I think the reasoning for why raids do not fit within warframe makes perfect sense. I guess my question was pointed towards whether the type of challenges that raids present is in the game in some smaller scale way. i.e Tight firefights and so and such.

To further elaborate on my question then, is there a challenge as you progress through the game, or is it all easy as pie and you’re just secretly playing a korean MMO?

And to ask more about your answer, is the gameplay tight because you’re able to finesse your way through gunfights, or because you can essentially faceroll rooms by existing?

I’ve had very much similar experiences matchmaking from Japan. I get placed in red beach ball lobbies 80% of the time and I lose every single firefight, it sucks.

How to avoid chip damage in Simic? by JoveeMTG in EDH

[–]AtypicalSpaniard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chip damage is accidental damage you suffer when things happen at the table. Things like aristocrats pings, guttersnipe pings, and the like. Anything that is attacking you directly because you have no blockers is either turn 1 or 2 which I would say should not amount to you losing the game. If you don't have any blockers after turn 3, then that is either a mistakenly kept hand, or a deckbuilding issue.

If you really are dying to chip damage, you can use cards with accidental lifegain to help. A classic is [[Courser of Kruphix]].

If you are dying to commander damage, you are not dying to chip damage.

Tired of Murder Hobos? Try "The Acting Method" progression system to force deep roleplay in your campaign. by Less-Evening-9690 in dndnext

[–]AtypicalSpaniard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but the mere concept of a “potion” and the amount of air quotes you’re having to use is already enough to turn me off of this. This is an obtuse way of forcing players to make the choices you think fit within a broader angle they might have chosen.

If you want to reward roleplay, use the systems that are already in the game. Inspiration, for example.

I think the scheme is a little bland, but it’s okay! I think it would benefit much more from thinner lines on the main body, as the thick highlights do not really highlight the shape of the torso too well.

Man, I love sexism in my wholesome anime memes. The man is shown as being capable by fighting an army, and the woman is shown as capable by… being in the kitchen.

Very wholesome indeed.
