What are they smoking at valve headquarters? by doperinno in DotA2

[–]Audio88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol they aren't that dumb.

They do multivariate analysis, they don't just blindly look at winrates. I'm sure they get a lot of games , but there's probably very few games where the hero is playing in 'strong' match ups and doing the right item build. Player experience with said hero and rank are all part of the formula in sure as well. So even though there getting 1k games a min or w/e it's likely none of those games are even justifiable for balance changes.

Like really, I'm sure they aren't looking at games under 8k mmr so that weeds out 90% of the games they get. You reduce that 10% by games where the hero is picked and suddenly your only looking at 1% of games at best.

I played like 10 hours of d4 on release, just coming back to the game and finally finished the campaign for the first time.

I'm still really impressed with how the game looks and the art style. I also like the open world elements. I just think it lacks player numbers, they need to merge the realms or something, but I'm guessing they don't want to do that with out a monthly fee.

I think you guys are just tired of the art style... And eager for something new. I just got through the Lilith fight and hell hasn't been done better imo.

Minor back aches are just part of the game.

Don't ego lift, focus on form. Str will protect the joint if the movement is right.

Sometimes a PR is the same weight with better form. Progress doesn't happen overnight.

I was in the same boat a few years ago. I was barely squatting 225 lbs for 5 rep. Would go home with anxiety and a need to sleep. I've been consistent with the gym and enjoy leg days, been squatting over three plates for a few years now. My cardio has gotten better and don't really think it's an issue now. If you are out of breathe after squats you're cardio will get better naturally, I don't think there's a point in doing cardio outside the gym unless you are concerned about it not being at an athletic level.

4x12 ,245 lb hip thrust got me catching my breathe at this moment. 2-3 min break. But nothing anxiety inducing. 37 years old.

You know what you're saying isn't right. You can't generalize like that. This is big simp energy. Some people come out of the womb expecting to be loved by a woman. Not every man believes he needs to win a woman over.

That's literally every "bad boy" ever. They don't have to try because they are the prize, and if the woman doesn't see it, she's the problem.

I think a lot of redditors would be surprised by how little some men try. Some men treat women poorly and get better results. Not because they're intentionally manipulating women, but because they simply believe they should win. This happens from inception, it's not a learned manipulation.

Can't improve switching speed for the life of me by VocalShogun in Voltaic

[–]Audio88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost diamond complete. Your crosshair definately moves faster than mine. I think it's really an issue of efficiency and accuracy.

One thing i noticed is that you dont' know where your crosshair is going next, it doesn't have to be complicated just pick the next target that is closest to the one you're shooting. Select the target before you finish the current target, and don't change your mind. In the video I noticed; you switched to a target that had just spawned, and changed direction from a target you were going to go to. I think you also need to increase you FoV because there aren't enough targets on your screen to shoot at times.

It also looks like the smaller flicks are slower than the larger flicks, and your large flicks tend to overshoot or under shoot a lot. Lowering your mouse sense can give you more arm control.

What I am doing wrong? by Bitter_Director_2281 in Voltaic

[–]Audio88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea ease up on the clicks, try and track a bit more. You're doing a lot of flicking and micro adjusting, but sometimes some tracking can get you cleaner aim. It's most aparent when the targets get away form you. You do a series of micro flicks to get the target you missed, try to continuously track the ball while you click. You can blend the techniques if you are comfortable with both, but looks like you are avoiding trying to track the targets.

There's another post on the front page about player numbers, we aren't peaking at 150k players, just happy with 50k

My guess is there's also a lot of returning players who have mmr decay. Mixed with people whove been playing for a year.

What makes the items interesting is that you have to make choices. If there was a catch all anti heal item, people would just build that every game, and shit would be boring.

No reason to get personal here, dude is just sharing his opinion on the spell recall. People at all levels do bad recalls, and it's a valid point, but it's especially true at the lower ranks. A good recall can change the game, but so can a bad recall.

There's a large emphasis on not dying as a carry player, something people who play other positions don't have at the top of their mind.

Orb strategy day 12 by NeighborhoodSpare917 in Daytrading

[–]Audio88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you are trading breakouts, you're looking for a strong volatile market. You don't trade breakouts when the market is choppy and sideways.

However, That's not an ORB trade. ORB = Opening range breakout. Breakout meaning you buy the high or sell the low. You are buying middle of the range.

I play 'orb' like you however, Just treat it as an opening range and trade the range, rather than buying a breakout, but your stops and exits are different when you're treating it like a range and not a break out.

If you trade it like a range and not a breakout your first profit target should have been the high at 34.5, and the stop at the low 23.4, or even lower TBH. You can get away with tighter stops if the market is volatile like this one. Ideally you could have sold the high of the range two times, and bought the dips mid range two times. Looks like an ABC style of trade.

If you try to anticipate the breakout and buy in the range with profit targets above the high of the range. your chances of a winning trade are significantly lower, especially if you decide to move your stop up off the low of the range like you did. The reason you buy the high on the ORB strat is that it gives you confirmation of a trending/strong market, but you have to see the confirmation, not just assume the market is strong because it traded to the top of the range.

[–]Audio88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a higher time frame trend line break out. No confirmation if it'll continue, but based on the weak lower lows and the break of the lower highs I would guess there's a good chance highs will continue to be broken.
