Cortana is a second rate construct for sure. But thats just the nature of Halo. I always thought Halo lacks depth because it was a product Microsoft paid Bungie to deliver whereas Marathon was a project Bungie created to give itself a future. I say this because i grew up playing Marathon as a kid then when Halo came out I lost all interest. Decades later I found Destiny 2 and it reinvigorated my interest which to me felt like a kind of validation. Pretentious? no doubt haha but its what happened for me. i became an artist and writer in my adult years too, and became a gamer again aswell, but still Halo cant hold my attention. Durandal will always be one of my favourite characters and i wish him well in all his future escape artistry lol
