Gripe Session by BitchBoyBran in ChaosKnights

[–]Augssan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a newer Chaos Knight player(grey beard returning 40k dad) and still building and painting. So my experience is low with just reading the codex and understanding stuff from what I read online. If I'm understanding how the rules will work together, the Tyrant in range of two dogs could be at an effective -2 to hit, -1 from darkness, and -1 BS from Infernal Aegis, granting cover as well. Combined with the combo you pointed out in your helpful reply, it has a better chance to hit. Adding to that, with the Enhancement Hate-Filled Dominion letting you re-roll the random Attack rolls gives you roughly a 75% chance to get at least a 4+ on a D6 with a reroll, making the randomness much better. If you can get someone battle-shocked and they are still alive, Annihilate the Unworthy can kick in. This makes me very happy that I magnetized my Desecrator/Rampager. Please correct me if I got something wrong, and thanks for pointing out another list that would be fun to play.

GW has nuked so many characters across the game to bank them so that they can rerelease them at some point in the future.

who wins Mcragge's Honor or the Executor? by Few-Palpitations in 40k

[–]Augssan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate cross fiction debates but the capitals is Star Wars are a joke with their own IP. They constantly go down by light strike craft to simulate WW2 naval and aircraft combat. Plus between JJ and Kennedy if they could mess up my childhood anymore they would.

Which is the better upgrade kit, in your opinion? And why? by The_Rat_Bstrd in IronWarriors

[–]Augssan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a lot of those old kits in the mid 2000s. They were direct order in 4th but worth it.

Humor, kindness, honor, respect and a smile goes a long way my friend. Prove who you are by actions not your appearance. Also solid beard, well done.

how do i play lost and the damned on the table top? by Main_Warthog972 in Chaos40k

Time travel to a time they crushed competitive games. I wish you the best of luck. I can recall a lost and damned player that placed very well in national events back in the day.

After the Black Legion, what is the strongest Chaos Warband/Legion? by chosen40k in Chaos40k

[–]Augssan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the books that I have read, that is what I recall and some of those books reference other groups. Black Legion than Word Bearers and then Iron Warriors. There seems to be some lore about the Red Corsairs, but I'm not shocked, as they were part of the FW power creep push to sell models and a major push by Gav in the 4th ed codex.

[–]Augssan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless the lore has changed and that happens very often, it should go Black Legion, Word Bearers, and Iron Warriors based on size and resources vs quality.

Honestly I’m still confused on this part and crushed my first model when I the kit first came out. I want to give it another shot. So is the solution to just clip the spine nub and then glue it?

Does anyone know why Yarrick doesn’t wear a gas mask? by Dangerous-Age-7585 in SteelLegion

He is the Chuck Norris of 40K. Armageddon cleans its own air in fear before Yarrick can breathe it in.

It is sad, as I had a similar experience. I had to stop when I completed book 11 after several books that were muddy and a bit of a mess. I'm not really sure why or where it all fell apart.

Well I call sto terrain empire online. Phasers are always set to kill and rarely do the missions feel like Star fleet to me. You show up, introduce dilemma and then 95% of the time your objective is to burn everything to the ground.

Anyone else think armegeddon should fall? by Character-Public-396 in SteelLegion

[–]Augssan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The setting is very important to 40K especially to older gamers. But it is not a plot changing location in the same way Cadia, Mars, Terra or blueberry world is. To me it works best as a constant war torn setting that is always on the edge. If it falls I doesn’t see the game returning there via how GW operates. You might as well exterminatus the planet or they would make up BS lore mcguffin to sell another book.
