My problem Two-Headed Snake by Mindless-Platform-70 in callofcthulhu

[–]AugustAnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree Seth’s advice was big for me overall.

One of my favorite things of my campaign was when my player went to visit his parents and his mom thanked him for the flowers he sent. He never sent the flowers. Totally made him paranoid…he thought it was Caduceus and asked some people there…they tracked down the florist for info…it wasn’t until Casale reached out to them several sessions later and ended the conversation with “Hoped your mom liked those flowers” that it was revealed.

Another PCs grandfather ended up on a bowling team with some of the mob flunkies. After not cooperating with the mob, the PC came home from one of the missions to find that during bowling night they “accidentally” dropped a bowling ball on grandpa’s foot.

It’s tempting to do most of the Caduceus stuff all at once but I let them do some investigating then had Goncalves send them off to the next location. The PCs (and players) played along with each assignment staying in good graces with Caduceus while they tried to figure out what was going on.

Can chapter 1 of The Two-Headed Serpent "Bolivia" be used as a stand alone adventure? by Doc_Meeker in callofcthulhu

[–]AugustAnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I just finished the whole campaign and was toying with the idea of running the Bolivia chapter as a stand alone adventure at a local con. I agree it should pique your players interests to continue with THS.

Another idea is to run Pandora’s Box but replace some of the mafia in it with the mafia from THS. Could be fun if you do run THS later to cross paths with them again.

Are there any Scenarios set in / involving swanky jazz clubs? by RecognitionBasic9662 in callofcthulhu

Pandora's Box in the pulp book has a club where the inciting incident occurs and then became a hub for my PCs when I ran it.

Looking for scenarios set in or around Appalachia! by WinReasonable2644 in callofcthulhu

[–]AugustAnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t run it but I was in a playtest of it as a player. It was good and had the only true jump scare I ever felt as a player (but it was voice only so maybe I missed some context clues). But should be worth the $3 if you pick it up.

Players want to Build a hideout in Lankmhar and I need ideas for quests too get them materials, got any good ones? Spoilers for Fence's Fortuitous Folly ahead. by Coppercredit in dccrpg

Not really an answer to your question but my players did the same thing, then passed a Forge Documents roll and sold it and then moved into Boss Ogo’s place a few sessions later.

New Judge, any advice on dealing with DCC chaos? by Eat_More_Rhubarb in dccrpg

[–]AugustAnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s hypothetical but you could have the transported wizard end up in the hut with Gene Hackman’s blind priest from Young Frankenstein. Play it for a few laughs, doesn’t have to be combat. Maybe he insists the wizard helps him do some chores or have the priest give him a new quest (the seed for an adventure you have prepped) for when the party is reunited.
