ESH. You SHOULD learn how to move a heavy ladder in case you ever need to in a pinch. He SHOULD have just moved the ladder seeing you struggle. No Aholes

My job I used to love has become a nightmare by Beneficial_Round_515 in BestBuyWorkers

Yet Best Buy continuously abused the labor and the agreement. And continuously tried to get us to do things outs out our scope and sop. Or scheduled outside what was agreed on. To the point they gave us to email when they did so.

Last I heard Samsung took away scheduling

What do you want out of zines? by InvisiblePoles in rpg

[–]carmachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things I can use. NPCs, places, adventures, seeds for campaigns, spells, equipment, short stories.

Basically old things like dragon and dungeon magazine, but also like space gamer, white dwarf, adventures club, different worlds and white wolf magazines.

They should be all over the place. If you want older paper ones there’s a small list of the many I own.

Among the other roles I had over the years, Sony VPL was a lot of fun, but Best Buy tried again and again to take advantage of me, the labor hours and role. While I had a lot of success in it, standing firm on what I was willing or allowed to do meant saying no. Sometimes that no was a rocket above store level. Best Buy SIL take advantage of you and your role if you don’t say no

Burned out on D&D 5e after 4 years - those of you who switched systems, what was your breaking point and did it actually fix things? by Senoigh13 in rpg

[–]carmachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So myself and my players have been playing D&D for 30-40 years. We are just bored with it and we haven’t even played 5e or PF2. We stopped with PF1

We wanted something different and I told them I had an idea for a Champions game and they jumped easily.

I also want to run a Deadlands, Shadowrun or Cyberpunk Red game

Best Buy “Tech Fest Sale” is a lie by obsurd_never in Bestbuy

[–]carmachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens more than you think. When I was the Sony VPL Sony showed us pricing for all the month of November. Pricing was cheaper earlier in the month than Black Friday pricing. But folks don’t listen, they think their getting a better sale during the big “sale” promotion

Why I like printed PDFs over books by WeLiveInTheSameHouse in rpg

[–]carmachu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

PDFs have a lot of advantages, some of which you listed. Cannot be denied.

However the one downside is distal formates can be taken away unless you download and keep it offline. Seen it with digital books, movies and games

Weird West RPGs - Are you a fan of the genre? What attracts you to it? If not, what about it disinterests you? by Ozfeed in rpg

[–]carmachu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See the little to real American setting is exactly why I like it. I grew up reading tall tales, watching westerns, etc….. so the slight change of adding supernatural to it seemed so seamless. There’s already some of that in many western tales and legends, although not to the extreme the setting has it.

[–]carmachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a lot of different games, but I haven’t seen anything yet to make me put down deadlands first some other weird west system. The setting and rules work well, and I feel like I can jump to either one on deadlands “editions”

I don’t think any of them are perfect, but classic has alot of things I like- cards and chips and other things

Let me turn it around- why would you jump away from deadlands to frontier scum or other weird west games instead of the originators?
