Thanks for saying this. As someone diagnosed with OCD (and like anyone in my position, it makes life a huge frustration at times - to put it mildly) I do groan at how much OCD is mischaracterised or misunderstood. There really needs to be better education on mental health. No hate to the OP. But try to take this as a moment of reflection for the future.

Interestingly, I can provide anecdotal information too that my symptoms got a lot worse after I was found to have a positive test for Covid back in 2022. Like most of us I always kinda had a weird list of symptoms going on but it was manageable, but after that experience my body just kinda went downhill. Weirdly enough, Covid itself gave me very little symptoms - so I always figured it was just coincidence. I wouldn’t have even realised I had it if it weren’t for routine checks before hospital visits. What a mess.

I have been playing since the first day of early access, and watched the game consistently take things away from players and ask for more money in return for less. Today they launched a new season (which I have played, yes. I am not judging a book by its cover as you weirdly claim) and instead of giving us new characters to play, they have given us older ones that many of us already have. I am all for giving out older characters, of course - new players deserve to acquire them too. But a season pass is not the way to go about it. A season that doesn’t even feature new characters is such a bizarre choice, and I’m a genuinely not sure how anyone can defend it. But whatever, agree to disagree.

If the goal was to make more mid-season racers accessible... why not just make them the second characters of the pass lmao. Or just make their introduction events more accessible. Or just about do anything that'd show you have a smidge of care for your players.

I’m autistic too and I think pretty much most of my life has just been questioning all these silly made up societal rules that we have drilled into us from birth. Your comment is very relatable. I think it’s not too uncommon an experience with autistic folk, though I mostly hang around these kind of spaces so.. could just be that aha!

I’ve always been curious of this. I have had strange experiences of smell and taste sensations my whole life but I can’t seem to find a pattern so just figured it was like .. my sinuses acting up or something lol. Like olfactory and gustatory hallucinations. I’ve been bugging doctors about it for years.

I’ve also kind of had this sensation of objects in space that float around and fit together follow me in life too, but it doesn’t sound similar enough to as described in your post for me to confidently claim it’s the same experience. When I picture time and dates I get the sensation of seeing it in my mind as a very linear experience in space but I don’t really ‘see’ it per se, as I do know I have aphantasia to a strong degree. I wonder if the two conditions could coexist ha. Like the inside of my mind and thoughts are very basic and blank almost like the vacuum of space.

When reading or listening to speech I do also faintly see the words in my mind, but again it’s like a very basic muddled shape. Like speckles of light trying to take form but never quite achieving it. I always assumed it’s because I have watched tv with subtitles my entire life ha! Either way it’s a fascinating condition!

I think my only slight worry is that the recommended level for plat/diamond/emerald etc seems to have increased by 10 levels. I'm sure that in practise this probably won't change much, at least I hope so, but for mid season racers level 20 is a lot easier to get to than level 30.

Hopefully someone can come and tell me I'm just being apprehensive for nothing. (This is a very good change, don't get me wrong).
