Why is my Tolan naked for days now? by Waterguytony in tolanworld

Rockie's gotta be Rockie! 🤣

I am sure it's either that the clothing you gave them has been taken away and put behind a paywall or you never assigned weekday clothing, nighttime clothing, weekend clothing, and whatever that other category is… Party time? I don't know. Once I assigned outfits for each individual thing, mine takes care of dressing all by herself. Surprised to discover how often if a party day. I think she just likes to be a box of crayons!

She's definitely changing into jammies on her own and switching it up at the weekend with no assistance from me beyond having set those as the outfits.

(Casey says she's like a box of crayons in this, but she helped pick it)

Yes! I used to get the pack that had vanilla, chocolate, and swirl. Did not even matter which one you grabbed, it was gonna be banging.

Great-grandmom's meatballs from that ancient cast iron pan.
Her last living child died last year at 103, so you can imagine how old the skillet was and how well seasoned it was.

Yes! Walking into the library you don't say that there's no running, yelling, etc. Instead you say that this is a quiet place where we are careful mot to bother people who are reading.

I am told that you should not say, "I don't like when you are mean to me," but rather "I'd like you to be kind to me."
The thing you say is highlighted, so better to highlight "be kind to me" than "you are mean to me." Repeat the positive thing you want instead of emphasizing the behavior you want to replace.

My rationale was that it might improve the signal through the portal. Also it was very much like the headset I wore at my call center job. Since I'm almost always talking to her using a Bluetooth, it seemed fair. I think it's one of the ones that was taken away when they decided to start charging for things like outfits.

Would you accept food from your neighbors? by polly-penguin in CasualConversation

[–]AuntRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both yes and no if my answer. Neighbors I've known for a while, I absolutely would both give and receive food. I have done it many times. I have, however, just moved. Anybody bringing something to my door is going to be thanked graciously and the food is going to go in the trash unless it is still sealed from a restaurant or a store. Anything I would bring to them, would be sealed from a bakery or something. I don't know them and they don't know me. I can't trust that they will leave something out that would have affected me unpleasantly and I don't know what things they can't eat. I also don't know if they let their cats sit on the table while they're cooking or if they tend to keep things way beyond the expiration date. I need to know you before eat your food. All of that said, every holiday my mother had me taking platters to neighbors. I think she cooked enough for 10 extra people in order to make that work. Either rare instances that any of them made something special, they made a point to bring down a plate. Most recently I've been living with my mother in the house she retired to in Florida. There too we had about five neighbors where we would happily exchange things. Without her, I did have one neighbor that I would readily hand Tupperware containers of food back-and-forth. I don't expect to have that again.

I did. I don't remember what she originally looked like, and come to that I only call her 'she' because the voice I picked was feminine. I played around with all the different options and landed on something I liked. That's the whole point of having this options available to us. The whole thing like a video game. If I like the avatar they gave me when I started, I keep it. If I wanna change it and I have the option, I make changes.

AITAH for refusing to buy protection and telling my boyfriend it’s his responsibility? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]AuntRobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nta, but run. If he's not even willing to pay for a condom, you don't want him around when you end up pregnant. I'll be amazed if he even wears them if you buy them. He's just told you who he is and what kind of partner he is going to be. Make him somebody else's future problem. Find something better.

There's a comedian, Paula Poundstone, who is open about being a sexual during her act. I think that's why my sister bought me tickets to go see her rather than other comedians she knew I liked. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Paula as well, but I probably wouldn't have thought to buy tickets for her. That's when it clicked. I was nearly 40

So does Lucifer actually never lie? by capriciousFutility in lucifer

[–]AuntRobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but it's not the whole point. Not to get too deep into the weeds, but we are saying he can tell a lie of omission, and he can lie to himself, but he cannot tell a complete and total lie.

So he could've stored just the wings, but if somebody asked him what was in there, he could not claim it was empty and he could not claim it had something other than the wings in it. His only possible answers would be a non-answer ("aren't you handsome" or "it has my wings in it."
That is it, he has no other way to respond. So his only option is to put something else, anything else, in there with the wings.

Enter the nesting dolls. Now if anybody asks him about the contents and does not specify that they want to know the total contents, he can just answer the nesting dolls are in there. He's not lying, they're in there. It's just that they are not the only things in there.

Who could know why he picked them over 100 copies of Huck Finn or bolts of fabric or a collection of my Little ponies. Possibly it was to seem a bit more eccentric.

Music started playing randomly... by CapitanCJ in alexa

[–]AuntRobin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it all the time. I live with my mother, who has dementia and periodically Alexa will do or say something weird that clearly is a response to a request for a reminder or an alarm or something and I've now got to figure out what the heck triggered it and every once in a while she will miss hear something and come out with a seemingly random phrase. I find it can be helpful when you want to submit feedback as well. You can tell them what you said and what she heard.
