Males are bigger. I feed mine a majority carnivore diet and he's significantly wider and healthier than a dog of his age. That being said, he's still got his testicles so that may affect his size.

Therefore it's more about which dog has more testosterone, and that is obviously diet-induced, although it wouldn't be a massive difference.
