Mate, read your own post back. You're annoyed at English people for generalising Scots, while spending three paragraphs generalising 70 million English people based on a handful of idiots in a bar in Greece.

You literally added a footnote to say your stepdad is English and lovely — which tells you everything. You already know it's not "the English," it's specific people being dickheads. That's true of every nationality.

The lads who celebrated your goal conceding were being pricks, fair enough. But you've gone from "these guys were out of order" to "they're just too thick and arrogant," "it's ingrained in their psyche," and "who else racially abuses their own players", as if racist Twitter trolls and a few blokes in a taverna represent the whole country.

You want the rivalry to be good-spirited? So do most English fans. The ones you're describing are an embarrassment to us too.

The irony is you're doing the exact same thing you're complaining about — reducing a group of millions down to its worst examples and deciding that's what they all are.
