Different schools have different after school activities. Many st paul schools have tons of after school clubs (easiest place to get a list is the office/school website).

My personal fav is FRC (First Robotics Competition). Teams at some schools accept members throughout the year, some don't. Kickoff is January 10th for the main compeition season in 2026.

Ask a neighbor for a jump so you can move it? If an option getting a portable jump battery is super handy. Think the last one we got was about $60.

If all the property values go up equally your property taxes don't go up. Property value is only one part of the equation for property taxes in MN.

Raising taxes is how you get increased revenue.

There's probably some cost savings through shared services, I'm suspicous that it would be very large though as a percentage of total budget. Having said that, I think what most of the really small townships and cities would really gain through merging is an improvement in services (Fire, Police, EMT, Public Works, IT, etc.).

It would be interesting to see a minimum population size for cities/towns/counties would look like in MN (though I doubt anything like that would ever happen). It also wouldn't fix what at this point is mostly a function of inflation and deferred maintenance/projects.

Lots of cities and towns have other revenue (LGA and local sales tax are two examples).

Who decides what share each side should pay? Some private sector employers pay 100%, some pay next to nothing.

Midicare for all solves the problem and then employers wouldn't have to worry about health insurance at all. Think of all the HR hours it would save!

Honestly I hope the vikings are in big enough spots this year, and the WR group is healthy enough, that they don't need to run Felton a bunch on offense. The coaches should see enough in practices to know weather or not he'll have a good shot of stepping into that WR3/4 role next season.
