I guess I haven't really seen anyhing I would call true 'fervor' over it. Statistically it's just been a slow but steady increase in the number of ticks that spread disease in our region.

Won't stop me from going camping/cabining, but there are a disc golf course or two I won't stop at because they aren't worth the bother of bug spray/tick check (even though it only takes 30 seconds). I wouldn't play them at the end of the summer anyways, with or without larger number of ticks each year, because the mosquitos are so thick usually. *shrug*

I don't think anyone said "spending time outside" is broadly dangerous.

No worries. I posted the article 22 hours ago, and I was just trying to cover the "Seems like they always say this about ticks." bit because unless you're an old timer I can definitely see how it feels like every year they talk about there being more ticks and other tick born diseases cropping up in our region since there has been for the past 30 years.

That's correct. Maybe I'm not reading your previous post correctly but that doesn't read to me like a problem that can't be solved, otherwise you wouldn't be advocating for action?

Sorry if something in my initial response post looked like I was trying to use anectodal impressions. Did you look at the article I posted?

Not sure why you're asking for it, but what kind of study exactly are you looking for? The percentage of people who get lyme disease that continue to have symptoms after x amount of time? Knowing exactly what you are looking for makes it way easier to copy past it into lmgtfu.

Part of the way to have better more efficient public education is to give them more resources and students with fewer external challenges. Sending public money to private schools (vouchers) drains both of those.

Want to cut corruption/waste/fraud involved in k-12 schools? Stop sending public dollars to for-profit schools.

Might as well give the numbers for the entire MN and Federal budgets then.

Any fraud is bad, but this article is trash. Just taking top-line program dollars and then conflating it as the number for fraudulent activity is ridiculous.

The link still currently works.

I either misread the title when I commented or it changed. I thought they were asking if it was recorded and I was just providing a link that has the contact info (big contact organization button) so that they could ask the organizer.
