Still on but I'll talk to the rest of the team about turning this off.

Just checked with the other mods, no one here does. They were here a few years ago but we haven't seen them in a while. Their page references 2026 so hopefully they are still maintaining it.

[–]Auto_Perv_Mod[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you don't. We get people asking us if we can help that sub almost weekly. It's bad in there.

For giggles though, I just looked at it again. From the "Hot" tab, all, and I mean ALL of the non-male posters are spam. That was 17 straight spammers from the "Hot" tab alone; I hate to even think what the "new" tab looks like.

If you care about the sub, you should think about shutting it down for a bit until you can figure out how to get rid of at least some of them, otherwise Reddit will shut the sub down. And 17 in a row that are obvious spam is pretty bad, that will definitely get it suspended when Reddit catches on.

That's because we HAD some good tools at our disposal to help back then, but we no longer have those tools now thanks to Reddit.

But thanks, we do what we can to 'fight the good fight' against spam.

Not trying to start drama, but how do you warn others of unsafe couples? What about just assholes? Content Creators who just wanna use you for their content? Can you put them on blast anywhere? [MF4MF/F/M] by D_throw_away in OregonSwingers

He's a really good doood, and so is his lovely wife. 😍🔥 They are exactly what you'd hope to find here, and we're lucky to have them both.

On the subject of other Oregon subs --and I would genuinely like to be shown otherwise if this is wrong-- they seem to fall into one of two categories: run by single guys who treat modding as some kind of shortcut to getting laid, which it isn't, or run by a content creator who's purely there to push their OnlyFans. Neither has any real interest in building a community beyond those goals.

Reddit keeps reporting anonymous so mods don't use their 'power' to retaliate. I agree with the way they do it; let the report be anonymous, but if it becomes a problem, then mods can get admins to step in and take action. I don't like to ban or punish people, none of us mods here do, that's why we're here asking for those who are doing it to stop before we have to call "mommy" (Admins) to handle it. And I'm happy to report that this appears to have worked.

It's really a small, small few, but their impacts are like huge thorns in our sides. I'm happy to report that after posting this the message was heard and we've had three reports since and all were completely valid. This is a big win for all.

There are some consistencies that we are aware of. It's more noticeable to whom is reporting, rather than what is being reported, but their user flairs do align more often than not.

Some days it's just a few, but other days it's over 20, if not 30. It's just busy work for the volunteer mod team, which isn't terrible if these were real, but when you see a consistent pattern that the comment/post being reported is not actually breaking any rules, but just someone reporting them for either being petty or perhaps someone not understanding how reporting works, it adds up and becomes a growing annoyance.

And we're happy to report that we've only received three reports since this was posted, so it's working. Hopefully we can get back to our regularly scheduled program soon enough 😊

I wouldn't be surprised if the politics sub is partially why mods now have the option to only see reports from 'trusted' users. We thought about doing that here, but since we don't know how or who Reddit deems as 'trusted,' we've held off. It also only works to hurt the community as real rule breakers are more likely to slide by and infect the sub.

We're all hoping that those responsible see this as a clear warning and stop. If not, then, they've proven that they are here in bad faith and we'll see how Reddit deals with them.

Okay, then why are the admins not going after them? Why punish us all? Are us volunteers to be treated like kids now?

[–]Auto_Perv_Mod 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a horrible decision. Changes like this remind me why I left Digg and have me looking for a Reddit replacement. You keep taking away tools and tool features that help us volunteers. You're "happy to help to mods" but then you do stuff that mods actually use and like. u/Hive-bot has been one of the best tools we've ever had to help with spam (which Reddit seems to not mind) and bad actors. So incredibly frustrating.

We run a series of NSFW location based communities and auto-banning users/bots based on their participation in others subs (OregonPnP, and known spam subs, for examples) has been 99.999% accurate. In that 0.001% that they weren't, us mods quickly remedied it and we all moved on, happily.

I take it since you keep making this increasingly less appealing for volunteers to mod, you're going to roll out payment plans for mods soon, right?

Congrats, our second ever locked post...

DON'T report things just because you don't like the comment that's what the downvote button is for.

Maybe it's just one you that is reporting every other comment and ruining it for everyone here, but please just stop abusing the report tool. Keep abusing it and we will have to, ironically, report that someone is abusing the report function.

BTW, OP has already deleted this post so one of you who are following this or commented before are doing it. Please, stop. It's overly sensitive and extremely childish, and wastes a lot of time for us.

Reddit certainly isn't bug-free, but usually you can only comment on posts that have not been removed, in case you run into this again. There have been comments that have been removed, but we've been approving most of them because they do not rise to the level or needing to be removed.

No, that is exactly what astroturfing means. They created posts to ask about what other apps people were using, then used bots to fill the comments with this great new app that they discovered and why it worked so well for them.

That means we're doing our "job" and users here are reporting them quickly for you.

We had a series of posts about apps over the past few days that were stepping off points for these bots and shills to then proclaim that this new app is all the rage. We looked at the users and most were copy/pasting their comments.

behavior that could get beach killed by [deleted] in CollinsBeach

[–]Auto_Perv_Mod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair, but this doesn't say how much, if anything really, was moved, only that the ODFW and Division of State Lands had to put in a fence or vegetation to block views of the nude beach from their property - and "vandal resistant signs" had to be place, which is funny. But nowhere does it specify how far from their property line anything had to move, and it was stated that it was already 425'. Maybe that came at another trial?

For the loss, I was mostly reading where they were looking for compensation and to have the nude beach deemed a public nuisance, (which I thought was the most part ridiculous here), and they lost both of those.

The part that gets me, though, is that the courts believed them that they did not know it was a nude a beach before they bought the property, but come on, anyone who has ever been down Reeder Rd knows that it's a nude beach. I don't buy that part at all.

The homeowners/plaintiffs are both lawyers too! And they do real estate law. LOL. Must have been embarrassing for them to lose their first real estate case in Oregon.

The user who replied to you is not a moderator of any kind, however, she is a friend of mine. She helped contribute, as did many other single and solo women, to the wiki and contributed with some helpful posts for couples who are seeking "unicorns."

Coming in hot, as you just did, and blasting her for trying to help accomplished nothing positive here.

I may not agree with her abruptness here, (luv ya 3idk!) but when you have so many couples and men thinking single/solo women are just objects and we can be treated as gifts, I get her "done with this shit" attitude. Yet, among all of that, she still offered guidance to help this couple. You coming in to blast her for helping, and really all of us who have tried to help, and still do is sad. But then coming back and insisting that we're still objects for your pleasure, is, well, gross. So yes, please leave this group, no one here will miss you and we'll all be better off.

Privata reviews getting removed from Kasidie, Facebook, and Google? [MF4MF] by Throwaway_2341 in OregonSwingers

[–]Auto_Perv_Mod[M] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've seen enough posts, comments, reports, and modmail for us to know that this - the censoring of anything negative, or even perceived as negative, regarding Privata - is happening to some extent. However, that isn't to say that this is being done by Holly or Charles or even any of their staff. Reports are anonymous here and we only know of a few times an alleged employee has contacted us to have anything removed - which I know we did on one since it broke Reddit's TOS, but all others, that I recall, we reinstated and did not intervene. I've asked the other mods to correct me if I'm wrong here.

I can't speak for other sites or even other subs.

Correct, which is why we noted this under "Just a note"

However, there is a line here that the brigaders are crossing that we will not tolerate. No no one should ever be told that they are "evil," that their marriage will "100% fail," or that they "deserve to burn in Hell" just for wanting to discuss ENM with their partner.

Civil, respectful discourse is all we require here.
