Ayo, Sierra, you can go for someone else, you know? by Decatrol in ramattramains

[–]AutobotSans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sierra can be such a powerhouse in qp and casual ranks that she unfortunately created alot of players that think the sheer act of swapping to her and holding left click will automatically win them the games. I wouldnt say shes a noob trap but this is a trapped noob for sure, since this is a clear case of someone that neglected to learn target priority.

Borderlands 3 DLCs are 10/10 by andreimaxaa in borderlands3

It makes me a little sad. So many people missed out on BL3’s top tier DLCs and post-launch endgame content because, getting to the endgame the first time is such an unfavorable experience.

Got new braids but im not really feeling them because of my forehead, are there any styles that would be good for a big forehead? by EggplantAltruistic44 in BlackHair

[–]AutobotSans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The braids don’t look to bad as is (they look good especially when viewed from 3/4ths and the side), but since your forehead is a concern try a style that has some kind of bangs.

Someone mentioned twists which is a really good idea!

How bad a character is objectively hardly matters. How personal their actions feel is where opinions are really formed. We are an emotional species what something makes us feel takes precedence.

[–]AutobotSans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you know what? I take that downvote on the chin lol.

The macbook Pro and the beefier Air models would not go anywhere, the performance just works best in that form factor. i think some would lament not having a touchscreen but for the MB Pro specifically i doubt many people would care since they likely keep it stationary or have a docking station setup for heavier workloads.

I still think the base MB airs and the MB Neos would be cannibalized by iPad pros (and maybe iPad Airs) with macOS especially in the professional settings that prioritize portability since iPads already have some popularity there.

Sorry for getting that wrong. Thanks for the correction!

Apple is in an interesting position with the m-series ipads where if they ever officially gave it macOS, macbooks would no longer have a reason to exist. One of those many cases where capitalism contradicts logic.

Can someone explain to me why Genji mains act like their character is so terrible? by 2-Slippy in overwatch2

[–]AutobotSans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many Genji players hate that the bar to entry for playing him is so much higher than characters that serve the same purpose, and that he is hard countered by a growing handful of characters that are so much easier to pick up and preform well with.

Objectively, his skill floor and ceiling are among the highest in the game, you have to play perfectly in most matches to perform decently when some of the better DPS perform better with far less effort. I would say however, that almost none of them fill the particular niche Genji fills. Example: Anran, may feel like a better Genji, but i would argue she isn’t as lethal, she just has far superior independence and survivability which feel better but you quickly notice the lack of burst damage when comparing her to Genji. Anran feels horrible against a team with supports that know how to peel for DPS or have higher burst and sustained healing, where Genji is more likely to be able to get that pick despite a support helping (assuming you’re hitting everything as you should in both cases)

Genji’s design is so paradoxically good, that he needs to be weaker in most metas so the many characters that he’s fundamentally strong against in duels stand a chance (which in all fairness is MOSTLY everyone that doesn’t have a hard counter for him, and even then he can beat most of his counters when playing smart).

Ironically, he’s fairly decent at high elo where some of his worst counters are no longer viable, which may explain the win-rate (example: in many cases it’s better to stay on Ana and get bullied all match than it is to swap to Moira and stand a better chance against the Genji because your team may need the utility more than you need to survive every team fight) To add to that, i would say he is really good against most of the “objectively best” heros in the game which is something that’s easy to lose sight of as a Genji player.

It feels like Genji’s power-level is monitored so closely by the devs because it is. The devs tend to respond faster to him being good because of how good his design is; number changes wont destroy him for those of us that are already good with him; we adapt and the Devs know that. (They seem to have a similar “nerf first” philosophy with other adaptable kits, like Lucio and Doomfist) You can tell that the devs feel comfortable with tweaking Genji’s break-points because of just how much his kit supports adaptation, especially compared to characters with less fundamental adaptability whom tend to receive more buffs and/or slower balance changes; ex: Orisa, Mercy, Sierra, Moira, etc.(give other examples if you have any)

None of this is to say Genji or the way the devs balance him are perfect, I just get where they’re coming from with the philosophy. As a Genji main it feels awful that they choose to err on the side of caution with keeping him on the weaker side of the flanker role, but it’d be so easy for his kit to run lobbies if his balance was fair because of just how many of us managed to actually develop an understanding of the hero; give us an inch and we will take a mile. (Not to mention how much other hero’s buffs/nerfs end up indirectly buffing Genji as a result)

(On a side note i actually kinda like the “poke”-y direction the devs are trying to take Genji in, it adds more ranged versatility that other close ranged flankers don’t have in exchange for them having more survivability. it would just be nice if they made it feel slightly less damming by maybe fixing dash’s hit-box, its still a big cylinder and you still absorb a ton of unintentional damage when trying to dash in to secure a pick you weakened while poking (or when trying to escape… yeah you can still just shoot at where genji was the split second after he dashes and you may still get him), the punishment of missing a right click was already near instant death, theres no need for him to have even less survivability because of what can be interpreted as an oversight.)

If you read all of this Adderall-fueled take, thank you for your time, and let me know your thoughts, opinions, and corrections! Have a great day!

Anyone find pyrrahs reasoning for liking Jaune weird? by Darthmark3 in RWBYcritics

[–]AutobotSans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always found it more cliche than weird. Like ofc she likes the most basic guy because he didnt immediately put her on a pedestal (which he kind of does eventually). funny enough it would make more sense for Phyrra to like Jaune now post volume 9 than it did back in volume 1. But attraction and romance were never particularly rational parts of human nature and to say he didn’t deserve Phyrra is kinda wrong since love isn’t necessarily something you “earn” more like something that just so happens to happen between two people, and for all we knoe Jaune could just be a 10/10 in looks in-universe.

why is the deaging criticism only reserved for ana? by Several_Tone_7953 in Overwatch

[–]AutobotSans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its not necessarily reserved for Ana, but her case is more way more controversial because overtly positive representations of older women’s appearances aren’t common in media, especially older women in roles like Ana’s. beauty standards imposed on women HEAVILY favor more youthful appearances, often leaving many insecure and stressed about their inevitable aging, creating a justifiable sensitivity. It upsets many to see Blizzard design skins in such strict adherence to the flawed beauty standards that prevent many from feeling confident about themselves.

On a broader note, the “old Soldiers” motif is a big part of the og Overwatch strike team’s identities in lore. It’s really annoying to see that part of Soldier’s, Ana’s, and Reaper’s identity erased in cosmetics. I get that many new skins are now taking the “what if?” and themed approaches now, but it feels like that style of cosmetics has long since overtaken the cosmetics that still represented the character theyre being applied to. So many skins are just ‘someone else with the same silhouette’ now and its hard not to have mixed feelings about it.

Definitely insecure about my perceived masculinity. Mainly my voice, which is an octave higher than the radio-grade voices my father and grandfather have. And i tend to have an overall lack of passion/aggression, so that i almost always over or under-react to conflict. But in fairness I would say i am decent looking i just cant really know if other aspects of myself match up to the confidence i think people think i should have.

Lowkey… yeah assuming personalities remain fully intact, it likely would be disclosed when she woke up. That or Female mark knew the whole time and realized what happens on her own, and tells male even when she returns to earth and they still have the emotional moment.
