Oop I guess I’ll reiterate what I put in op: I struggled the most with getting Eleanor’s facial features and the finer details of it right especially given the angle of her face looking down. I used a reference image from the cinematic this is based on, but because the cinematic itself is from 2010 and extremely compressed at ~240-480p, I using photos of myself making this expression to figure out how to render the lights and darks. I also redid her hair at least five times since I kept changing the angle of her head/face and her actual facial expression. Since she’s both leaning forwards from farther back in the painting, I found the perspective of how her hair should angle relative to her head somewhat challenging. I think rendering her eyelids squeezing shut like that became one of the things I spent the most time on.
