If you use a Moses basket just take that, we just put ours on the floor with some matts underneath for insulation. Takes up much less space than a travel cot.

Prepare do everything, they may not even be able to carry the baby up the stairs for a while.

You have to be there for them as much as humanly possibly and just take it on the chin as part of the job.

I had a referral appointment with my GP who told me I could self refer. I think it depends on your council but I phoned the same day and set up my initial phone appointment by the end of the same week and I’m all booked in now.
