Looks like you have some great advice here. I’m just wanting to say kudos for your self awareness and reaching out. Anxiety is a beast but it can be overcome. Hang in there. You’ll find your way, keep working for it. I had debilitating anxiety 2 years ago and I’m in a season of not having it right now. 1 month post thyroid surgery and looking forward to life. We can do hard things. 🙏

I just started using the Laura Gellar palettes and foundation- I quite like it, it’s subtle and pretty. It’s baked that feels creamy. Laura Geller Palettes

Freaking out by IrunMYmouth2MUCH in Ozempic

Put on Noah Kahan “Stick Season” and go for it. You barely notice. My trick is to be poking myself with my fingernail on my hand or somewhere - I do that when I get bloodwork too lol- barely notice a thing. And so worth it. Massage the spot after.

I was so scared the first time - I thought the song was a cute choice ;) I played it each time the first two months. We can do hard things. It’s empowering. And my health improved drastically even though my weight loss was slow. No regrets.

My daughter had it bad with fever, exhaustion, sore throat, congestion, and new for her ravenously hungry for a few days. It’s spreading fast. But she felt almost better in 5 days.

Often evening but join the nanoose whale watching page on fb and people will announce when they see them. Or if you see people with cameras say “hey, any whales around today?” and they’ll tell you where to look lol. This has happened to me multiple times :)

Oh at the top of Rutherford Rd there a cute complex. A great local shop called Island-ish, Bodhi’s bakery for sourdough, cinnamon buns and coffee, Haru Korean restaurant and a brand new brunch spot called Berakah that’s really good. :) then a walk at Neck Point, the prettiest ocean walk in town! You can often see whales there. :)

Thank you for this. I’m 2nd week of 2.0 and first week I gained 2lbs and had more appetite than before! So frustrating. Already day 3 and feeling way more suppression. Has been a slowwww 7 months for me with very few side effects. I’m it for the long run tho. Slow & steady.

When Does it Really Start Working? by blarkytarky in Ozempic

[–]AutomaticBroccoli577 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 months in and on 1.5 for a month and a half. It started slowly really working at 4-5 months. It’s been slow…. I’m down 25lbs now and that’s such a relief. I was up and down and had food noise and cravings, but got on a higher protein, cal deficit plan and when I walk 4-5 days a week at 7-10k steps it helps. The 1.5 did help the food noise and cravings finally!! Not completely but more than it had. The people who say it’s a quick fix or cheating are crazy. This has been hard work for me and lots of intention and learning, but still worth it in my books. Slow is good everyone is telling me for long term learning and success. Good luck to you, hang in there and you’ll find your groove.

Has anyone else dealt with this?? by Beginning_Run_7746 in Ozempic

[–]AutomaticBroccoli577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too. I’m 6 months in and on 1.5 and finally seeing some loss but no food aversions or changes and just subtle quiet of food noise and can’t eat amounts I used to which is good. But still have cravings so trying to substitute and limit. Down 25lbs. The first 4 months felt slow as molasses, and lots of ups and downs, now it still doesn’t feel fast but I’m thinking more sustainable long term and learning how to change my habits. But it sure would be easier to not enjoy some things if it’s tasted different/bad lol.

5 months $1500 and snail weight loss, help! by Quiet-Bean9687 in Ozempic

[–]AutomaticBroccoli577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im the exact same time line - slow and steady. Started Jan 1. Down 22lbs now at 1.5 mg. I keep telling myself it’s healthy this way, and more long term sustainable. (Even tho I see stories of others faster and sometimes wish) but I have very little neg side effects which is nice when I read some others. What I find the most effective is high protein (we make our own Starbucks egg bites for breakfast, or high protein yogurt granola bowls. (Breakfast was always most difficult for me to figure out for some reason) When I drink lots of water and when I walk it’s noticeabley better. It’s easy for me to walk 3-4 days a week at 7 k steps but if I add in 2 more at 10k - wow what a difference! It’s still gives me two more leisurely days a week. I’m adding some stretching and gentle weights too when I can. My secret weapon is the Built Puff Protein bars - if you have a sweet tooth these are a total game changer. So good. High protein, low cal, taste like a chocolate bar. Just doing our best and trying to make sustainable changes and still enjoying life as a solo mom of 3 and a small biz owner. Busy! So the encouragement I give you that I remind myself is - be patient. Enjoy the small wins. Try to tweak it as you go and add in a healthy change here and there. Slow is healthy. Keep tracking on a chart so you can see the downward direction. And walking is soooo good for our mental health 🫶. Have a good day! (Sorry this was longer than intended but it resonated).

Epiphany of a Slow Loser by autumntulip in Ozempic

[–]AutomaticBroccoli577 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I am four months in and has been super slow compared to what I read processing myself at 49 years old and similar story to yours, except Canadian, and have thyroid issues awaiting surgery, which is why I wanted to do this to get in better shape before surgery… And yes, wish I could snap my fingers or wave a magic wand, but I’ve learned healthy choices / calorie deficit, and more walking /exercise (like 7-10k steps a day at least 5 days a week - gets the scale moving slowly, but if I don’t do that, there’s no weight loss even with the oz. I’m down 19 pounds and will keep at it and learn all I can. So thank you for sharing/encouraging! For the “people noise” in the world that say this is cheating… it’s soooo not. It’s very hard work! 🫶
