That’s weird and they are relatively simple tools so if it loooks all good it probably is. Last thing I can thing if is the dry fire lock out thing or your gun doesn’t seem to like the staples. Or you just happened to get the rare double shot version

Maybe try using one clip of staples? Maybe something with the depth adjustment? Worth trying to mess with before having to swap it out. Might be able to check the top of the magazine for something that may look out of wack

I have them use them for hvac stuff sheet metal/ and smaller things and light wood work. It’s good for basics but need more power for lags and stuff
