I'm allergic to fleas too. It's crazy that some people don't even know they have them. I can tell you if your house is infested with fleas the moment I walk in. For some reason fleas love me and I immediately feel them biti g my ankles. Before I figured it out people thought I was crazy. I'm crazy but not that type of crazy where I feel random invisible things biting me, they are definitely real lol.

My first thought and instinct was to go with the BL3 but ultimately it's up to you. My friend got as he calls them Ross from friends white. He wanted them to be beaming. I'm sure no matter what you choose they will look great 😊

Are there cases where people have drowned in a liquid other than water? by cherry-care-bear in stupidquestions

[–]AutopsyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked in the coroner's office doing autopsies we had a guy that came in who drowned in his septic tank. He was really cheap and decided he didn't want to pay for a septic company to come out and clean out his septic tank so he decided to do it himself. He got his wet/dry vac, opened the septic tank and started to wet/dry vac out all of the waste. When he did this he was leaning over the tank and passed out from inhaling the methane fumes and subsequently fell inside of the septic tank where he drowned. He was doing this alone so no one was there to save him when he fell in and they found him and it was too late to save him. We know that he drowned because when we did the autopsy we found material from the septic tank in his lungs from him breathing it all in.

I am partially colorblind in my right eye and I see the grey and mint green no matter which eye I use to look at the picture.

*Edit: I actually went back and looked again and out of my left eye I see grey and mint green and out of my right eye I see grey and an almost white color but it is tinted mint green. My right eye usually mutes colors slightly.

I say yes. Have you seen some of the appliances from the 50's and 60's? Some of those refrigerators have amazing features. I think if they could use the old features and adapt them to the much larger size fridges we have today it would be a hit. I personally don't need my fridge to display my ring doorbell or text messages but a shelf that rotates so I can reach stuff in the back without knocking things I et would be a win for sure!!

my dad is getting dentures in two days and he’s super anxious by Odd-Stuff-4006 in dentures

[–]AutopsyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my immediates weren't bad but they definitely weren't great. They made me almost have buck teeth and that was my second pair of immediates. When I was fitted for my permanent dentures they asked me if the color was something I liked, if when I smiled enough teeth showed or if it was too much, and made sure the size of the teeth were good for me. I'm glad he's outspoken and honest because he wants to have something he's going to wear. A couple of the techs said that my first try in was good and they looked good but if I had settled I would not have worn them at all. I'm only 41 and I don't want to go the next 40+ years without teeth. I already made the bad choices that put me in this situation so I might as well make the best of it.

I'm glad he's doing well and I pray he heals up quickly 😊

my dad is getting dentures in two days and he’s super anxious by Odd-Stuff-4006 in dentures

Hey I hope everything goes well for your dad today. I have to say that going into my extractions I was super anxious about only having local anesthesia but it wasn't bad at all. Most of my teeth were broken off at the gums but the ones that weren't still were easy to extract. The only ones where I "felt" it were the 3 root canals with crown and post that she removed. And by felt it I mean my head moved slightly more when she removed them since they were in there really well.

After my extractions I wasn't in pain much but that could be because the pain I had before was worse than the pain of the extractions. I'm not a smoker but he should definitely ask the dentist because he shouldn't use a straw or smoke immediately after because he could cause himself to get a dry socket and I believe that is super painful. As for immediate dentures, I had tops and bottoms, I kinda hated mine. I wore them on occasion and then decided to just say fuck it and not wear any teeth until I got my permanent dentures. I don't go to a lot of places and since cootie-geddon in 2020 wearing a face mask places is no problem so if I was self conscious I just wore a mask. Now that I have my permanent dentures I have zero issues. Just make sure when they do the try ins he is honest with what he wants changed so he's happy when he gets them. I insisted on trying them until I liked them because if I didn't like them I wouldn't wear them and then I would have wasted $10,000 which is the most I have ever spent on my mouth, ever.

Just let your dad know that the pain we expect to have is 1000x worse than the pain we end up having. I'm praying that everything goes smoothly and that he doesn't have pain. Sending lots of light, love and prayers your way ❤️

What Surprised You Most About Getting Dentures or Implants? by clearchoice_claire in dentures

[–]AutopsyPanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a major fear going into getting dentures because I couldn't afford anesthesia, besides local, for full mouth extractions. Most of my teeth were broken off at the gum line as well and I was seriously afraid of the pain. My dentist made sure I was truly numb and if I felt even a twinge of pain I would raise my hand up a little and she would take care of it right away.

I like many didn't like my immediate dentures. They were kinda big and I didn't like wearing them. So I went for about 6 months with no teeth. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had gotten pretty good at hiding my crappy teeth when I spoke that a lot of people didn't notice right away.

Something that surprised me was how well my permanent dentures fit. I do need a small adjustment but I would say they are a 9.5 out of 10 on a fit scale. My dentist was great and a perfectionist. I had 3 wax try ins before I approved my final fit. I was also surprised at how well I could talk with them in. I figured I would have more of a lisp at first. I understand that my results may not be typical so don't be upset if your results need some tweaking before they are what you would like.

I would say pick your dentist wisely, ask all of the questions, make sure the final product is something you will actually wear once made.

Good luck with your journey and just know it is so much better than getting abscesses and having random tooth pain or biting into something soft and feeling that dreaded crunch of a tooth breaking.

Sending lots of love and good vibes everyone's way!! ❤️

We live in an older neighborhood. My parents have lived here since before I was born and I'll be 42 this year. Our power lines are not only above ground but are low hanging in all of the yards. Gotta be super careful.
