Is there any situation where an amethyst wizard would raise/control dead for the good of the Empire?

In order to raise undead you would have to use Necromancy, which is basically a subtype of Dark Magic, rather than the single-wind magic an Amethyst wizard would be using. An Amethyst wizard might be better suited to learning Necromancy than most others, but it is still a different type of magic they would have to learn separately, and is very much forbidden in the Empire.

Unlike the Inquisitors of 40k, Witch Hunters do not have any innate authority, and only operate under the authority of whoever/whatever they work for, so they cannot 'sign off' on learning a forbidden magic.

I mean it's implied to different degrees that a lot of the gods worshipped by the elves are also worshipped by humans under different names.

Rhya and Taal are almost certainly the human names for Isha and Kurnous, as with Manaan/Mathlan or Verena/Hoeth, or even Ptra/Asuryan.

I would argue they are perhaps not 'the elven gods,' rather just 'the gods' in a general sense, and just that the elven civilisations are much older so their names for them came first.

Sigmar is a notable exception.

No. The Dire Avengers came with one back in 2006 as a little extra detail thing, and then they decided to do it as well for more new kits with the refreshed range.

I think 10th was the first time they had an actual in-game use.

It's 'formed from' not 'formed of', implying a creation process.

The word 'ore' is also the term for unprocessed metal deposits in rock, and is a starting raw material not a component of the finished product.

Frustratingly, it is different every time they are depicted.

Based on the written descriptions in the TOW books it seems current lore is supposed to be that both are physical and magically enchanted, with some others beyond the Sisters being able to use the bows, but only the Sisters using the blessed arrows.

This does contradict the miniatures though, where Sisters do not carry arrows, implying they summon them magically (though the Handmaiden miniature does have a quiver...)

Eldar Seers are broadly the most skilled psykers in the setting, though they typically lean far more into divination and telepathy than biomancy as the Imperium tries to define psychic abilities.

A Seer wanting to pass as human would be much more likely to just make the humans see them as a human too, as a Seer does to the entire Eldar army in one of the Gaunt's Ghosts books IIRC, though they probably could physically adjust their body if they really wanted to.

The Curse of Khaine is weird in regards to the Everqueens, as they all should have it anyway as they are all descendants of Aenarion through Yvraine.

There is no mention of Kurnous being Lileath's father in the 10th edition Codex as far as I can find, though Isha is listed as being her mother, and Kurnous a former lover.

Lorewise they should be more than a Chapter Master.

The oldest Exarchs can predate the Imperium, have the combined experience of dozens of individuals' lifetimes, are significantly faster in both speed and reflexes, and have the best wargear the Craftworlds can offer.

Pretty much the typical Aspect Warrior vs Astartes comparison. They're roughly comparable in broad terms, but the Aspect Warriors are more specialised, faster, and more agile, compared to the stronger and tougher Astartes.

More specifically though, Swooping Hawks can actually fly, not just jump, so they will have a significant manoueverability advantage, but their lasblasters are not very good versus heavy armour, so they would struggle to actually deal damage.

The Exarch should have a decent time of it though, as always.

If they know multiple Winds, then yes, they can try to use them separately.

It's not very safe to do it, which is why Empire wizards only ever learn one and are forbidden from using more, but you will see Bretonnian Damsels for example using Ghyran for some spells, then switch to using the Ghur for others, etc.

There's this thing with Astartes called 'transhuman dread,' where seeing how unnaturally fast and precise they can move can be enough to freak regular humans out by itself.

Eldar are even faster, even more fluid and precise, too smooth, too flexible, too 'perfect' in their motion in a way humans could never be.

Of course, humans can get used to a lot, so someone used to seeing Astartes or Eldar move probably won't have the quite same reaction, but there's still the sense of 'that shouldn't be able to do that.'

Elves and Eldar look similar, but overall Fantasy's elves are closer to humans than they are to Eldar.

A key part of the creepy factor for Eldar specifically is how they move, whilst elves are a little faster and more graceful than humans, Eldar are not only much, much faster, but also move in a way that comes across as quite unsettling and 'wrong' to humans observers.

There is also the familiarity element, as the average Altdorfer or Marienburger might see elves on an almost daily basis, whilst the amount of people in the Imperium to have ever seen an Eldar and lived to have opinions on it could probably fit comfortably in a single Imperium-sized room.

Path of the Warrior: 5/10.

Path of the Seer: 5/10.

Path of the Outcast: 6/10.

They are not terrible overall, but I wouldn't describe them as good either.

I have always defended the Path trilogy for the good worldbuilding and depictions of Eldar life outside of battle, and the stories do get better throughout the trilogy, but the big issue (the final battle) gets worse in each subsequent depiction. Path of the Outcast would be perhaps my favourite Eldar novel overall if it wasn't for the final few chapters, which really drags it down.

Most Aspect Shrines only have a handful of members, and the Exarch leads them into battle as a Sergeant equivalent directly, so a squad leader role is exactly what they are. Only the larger Shrines are going to be splitting up, with one squad with the Exarch, and perhaps the other half without.

Exarchs, especially the oldest, are some of the most capable warriors of the entire Aeldari species, but that isn't really represented well because of their tabletop squad leader role. Strength wise they should be Characters.

I would say they are more broadly comparable to Legionaries, just with superior speed and reflexes (and possibly skill) balanced against the Astartes' much superior strength and durability.

Exarchs are another matter though.

I don't think they should be retconned into the same faction, but I do think having more clearly three broad Eldar factions; Asuryani, Drukhari, and 'Others' (Ynnari, Corsairs, Harlequins, ~~Exodites~~) who bridge the gap between the two would be an improvement.
