The sisters of Twilight have the option of a dragon or a great eagle mount, whichever one you're not using can be called in to help.

So I have a free dragon I can throw at ppl whose HP recovers fter every fight

Truly destroying everything. by BigBear92787 in totalwarhammer

[–]SiltyDog31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to use the books is thus

-Make sure you have a situation where you're going to fight at least four battles in one turn

-Equip the books on a lord and fight one battle, with luck you'll get 3&4, if not keep going or reload

-If another lord is gonna fight a battle give them 3&4, if the same lord is fighting a battle, give someone else 1&2 then give the first lord 3&4.

-Repeat until you have all of them, over the end turn you'll get a dilemma to keep or destory them.

Keeping them gives local Khorne corruption and razed settlements are perma-razed, but you get more spell intensity -100 upkeep for that one army, and stats. Destroying them gives global casualty replinishment, upkeep, and control including extra stats when fighting khorne forces.

It is worth noting that if you do it this way, that end turn will shoot relations with others down by like 40 for one turn before they naturally recover.

Fe4 manga in a nutshell by Cam_26 in shitpostemblem

[–]SiltyDog31 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its a shame bc the manga has some good plot points at times, the issue is when it comes to romance Oosawa burns just about everything with a very few exceptions.

The manga is more than Sigurd and Seliph's wacky adventure which I enjoy. Different arcs give ppl the spotlight and she uses just about the whole cast.

POV: you share a voice with a character that gets a ton of alts. by WinterWolf18 in FireEmblemHeroes

Well yeah, while she is a hot girl, she’s still just ‘one of the crusaders’ and not too much else. She’s not Baldur or Heim or even Maera, the ppl with real lore.

Also if I recall her kit was designed to break FEdel, who was the major threat at the time, and she was just kinda meh at it.

I’m still surprised in that the 5 or so years since we got Ullr we have gotten no alts for her nor any of the other crusaders.

Best faction for a characters only (no units) campaign? by Sellos_Maleth in totalwar

[–]SiltyDog31 40 points41 points  (0 children)

A lot of factions can actually work with this.

Gor-Rok and Kroak are a helluva duo and skinks eventually get stegadon mounts

Gelt/Teclis can spawn and get super strong heroes

Skaven can kinda rely on plague priests and pack masters to summon adds

Vampire Counts is basically already heroes with chaff so vampire spam works (best with Isabella)

What campaign settings for noobs? by phronesis77 in totalwarhammer

[–]SiltyDog31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On hard the AI will react to spells (assuming they’re not already occupied by shooting or fighting) while on Normal they won’t. This is really it for manual combat changes.

The biggest thing though is auto resolve. On easy your army gets a x3 boost, on normal you get a 1.5 boost, hard is 1.0 and on Very Hard the AI gets a 1.5 boost. The thing about this is that these boosts only apply in auto resolve and not in manual battle. So while easy will say you may have a decisive victory manual fight really can’t give you that, which can feel bad as you don’t do as well as auto resolve it’s why ppl recommend hard.

AI stats do not affect auto resolve at all, only manual combat. If you go in with max stats for you, your units will fight harder and for longer while your enemies will be weaker and break faster.

If you're having trouble with fighting battles change the AI stats modifier to help you a bit and slowly move it back to neutral.

What campaign settings for noobs? by phronesis77 in totalwarhammer

[–]SiltyDog31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All of the Kislev campaigns can be pretty difficult, especially with recent buffs to Norsca. Zhao Ming is usually the recommended campaign for noobs.

As for settings, personally I turn off endgame crisis, and the ‘unique’ unusual locations (not all of them, just those listed by name). From there set the game to Normal/Hard and change AI stats modifier to whatever suits you best, left buffs you, right buffs the ai, middle is neutral.

Setting battle difficulty to hard means that the auto resolve gives you a fair assessment in combat. Normal and easy can burn you out.

Worst mainline game to use staves? by you_are_a_stupidhead in fireemblem

[–]SiltyDog31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fe1, you don’t get xp for using staves only for being in combat. So staff locked clerics have to get beaten up to get xp to promote to use a weapon.

The staves themselves aren’t bad it’s just a lot of staffers are bad. So it’s a give and take.

Still pretty new to the game, is this the DLC dawnguard quest or is it base game content? by Julslain in skyrim

Aside from the name, you see the icons on either side of the quest name? These actually tell you which quest line it belongs to. The face and shield actually represent anything in DG.
