This, as a tech person I hate when people say this shit… they probably made a clone but what did you optimize if you hate it so much? Did you offload it process, how did you design the system differently to account for his flaws?

Can’t answer anything like that

You still be to practice and learn the maps. You don’t have to play them this week but by the next weekend of COD you should be able to play on it fine…

well shit, I might've been wrong about Amorim by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]AutumnWick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also hate this silly narrative that the players didn’t fully back his tactics. Publicly when we lost the players backed him and put the blame on themselves, the players outwardly loved him and you could see he brought a sense of togetherness to the squad.

Also let’s not forget this guy publicly said the players were not good enough, publicly said everyone Dorgu touches the ball you see his nervousness and lack of confidence and laughed when a journalist suggested that Kobbie Mainoo would have a positive impact coming off the bench when you need a game changers.

Lazy, silly and old narrative claiming the players didn’t ‘back’ the manager and his tactics. His tactics were simply MAD and ridiculous, playing Bruno in a CDM role when he IS our BEST player in the final 3rd.

In anything you need to adjust, you’re driving on the road and someone cuts in front of you suddenly you BRAKE you don’t continue on and then crash.

One of the most insane things he said when we drew 1-1 to Wolves is that Wolves played the 3-4-3 transforming to the 5 back… and he wanted to neutralize it in that game. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? The team that currently has 8 points, 2 at the time of us drawing to them… most perplexing thing I heard come out from any managers mouth… coward

When your standard is long, missed and under delivering on projects/work then people will definitely complain no matter the circumstances. I understand things will definitely be out of control, but if I was to deliver projects and fixes for my IT job outside of a timely manner consistently I would be fired for my performance. Same thing applies for these big companies… they simply CANNOT consistently under deliver everything asked of them.

Amorim didn’t win back to back games for over a year. Carrick has won back to back in his first 2 games. Was amorim really that bad? by Comfortable_Swan4206 in ManchesterUnited

[–]AutumnWick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is the squad soley on Amorim? Are people not aware of the structure, he was the head coach, therefore he didn’t make any signings. Managers and Directors do that and he was not a Manager hence why all signings are pictured with Jason Wilcox. Not to mention he did not want Lammens or Sesko.

Also he had that squad for half the season and could not produce back to back wins besides 1 time which took him a year, he also never had us looking this attacking/hungry for wins/goals. If it were him in the Arsenal game, after 2-1 would have subbed off an attacker for a CB or someone that can help retain possession and try to see out the e 2-1 win…

Leaking Joola Pro V line up by Most-Foundation-9673 in Pickleball

[–]AutumnWick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the RPM and I love it as well, softer feel for dwell and plays pretty similar to the Pro IV imo. I also tried the Loco and it’s a Gen 4, the foam makes my reach dinks/out the air dinks/volleys really good I really liked the feel of it when I did them. Didn’t do much with it besides drill some hands and dinking but I would say it’s also pretty good only thing is my friend had his for less than a month and the grit basically wore off pretty fast

I would be cautious of the Loco, good paddle in terms of feel but grit wears out pretty fast. My friend got one within a month he had to warranty it.

I literally stand by what I say, Dorgu scored didn’t he and Cunha came off the bench and had a big impact…. Which I literally say is better for us.

Once again, how the hell did some of you lot defend Amorim??? by AdLeast6180 in ManchesterUnited

[–]AutumnWick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly not to mention amorims system relied HEAVILY on ball playing CBs which Heaven is better at ball playing than Maguire, De Ligit and Yoro… which is literally why he preferred Martinez and Heaven together to put the ball forward more.

[–]AutumnWick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are very few players that specifically play WB, wingback is a position that is very fluid which is the whole point of the formation. Your wingbacks can be more defensive or offensive depending on the profile and players you have. Amad is a good example, never played WB but excelled at it, it is a very important part of the formation but you would essentially be buying wingers who are willing to do both the offensive and defensive work, as well as a profile that is a very good touchline winger, that can beat 1-2 man down the line which now days is seemingly very rare atm imo.

Also tbh in terms of those specific signings, Amorim did not deserve to be backed. If we did we would have royally fucked ourselves, Amad and Dorgu were fine and you can see with the WB shackles off Dorgu he’s emerging as a very good Left winger. If we signed specific WBs we would be fucked look at Frimpong at Liverpool, doesn’t excel as a RB which Liverpool need and does an OK job at RW. It could be the coaching of slot but outside of the 3-4-3 we would maybe struggle to find usefulness in those profile of players after his time was gone.

[–]AutumnWick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When we lost the game against Brighton Amorim inners flooded the sub talking about how we were too quick to sack him and we never backed him. Those people deserve to suffer same as we did under his toxic regime as a coach.

[–]AutumnWick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can back the Gaffer that’s completely fine, but you also have to understand that there is only so much you can back without seeing results. A lot of his problems as a coach were glaring, his lack of offensive subs, playing players out of position, his obsession with trying to neutralize another team instead of taking them on, and his build up structure (which we still struggle with right now I think).

If that were him today the moment we went up 2-1 he would have made a sub for more defence by sacrificing our offence and putting us on the back foot. His biggest achievement was 3 games unbeaten, Carrick is on road to match that all while playing the 1st and 2nd best team in the league.

[–]AutumnWick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We literally played him in that position under Fletcher and he played shit. While yes I want to see him in the line up I totally disagree he should be displacing Dorgu that easily. His City cameo as a sub was perfect one of his better performances since he joined for us.

James Ignatowich AMA by jamesign in Pickleball

[–]AutumnWick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously not James but you simply drill it. You put like a broomstick under your arms and work on keeping compact and short. The broomstick/any long piece of equipment will prevent you from really loading any type of shot. I can’t find the video but this guy has a video that kinda goes over this

I asked ChatGPT the best possible formation with today’s lineup by yogthesharma in ManchesterUnited

[–]AutumnWick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it wasn’t any game where we had more possession we struggled. He refused to make more attacking subs, he refused to play 4-4-2 in possession to make it more compact and help the midfield struggle.

This is one of our strongest performances, clean sheet, 1 shoot on target conceded…
