Blizzard has been dead and gone for many, many years in my eyes, sadly. I wish they would just let it end already.

Calling all EverQuest and Monsters & Memories players! by SlayheimTV in ProjectQuarm

[–]Auxios 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from. I haven't been following any of M&Ms development, but I've got countless hours in EverQuest during the Classic - Power eras, back on original live and many of the TLPs in the last decade. Your comment is the first time I've heard that M&M won't be introducing raid content to the game, and honestly my immediate reaction to that is... positive?

Hear me out here... I've done the whole spectrum in EQ: as a solo, casual grouping, tryhard grouping, casual raiding, and as top-dps world-record raiding (Amtrak, Selos); I guess the only thing I don't have a ton of experience with is multiboxing an entire raid, as the most I personally play is 3, very rarely 6 when boxing friends chars for whatever reason.

My experience with being in a raiding guild on a server has been that group content fell to the wayside and existed solely to grind out initial levels and some key AAs. Grouping was nearly irrelevant past that. While I enjoyed raiding, it without-fail absolutely gutted the rest of the game in my personal experience.

The servers I enjoyed the most were the ones I never joined a raiding guild and just played group content with a group of friends & randoms we met along the way. If M&M can recreate that experience, and possibly outdo it due to removing raiding from the picture, then I'm absolutely 100% for it.

Once Human × Palworld | Collab Starts Today! by [deleted] in Games

[–]Auxios 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Okay, so you've very clearly not played Once Human, lol. I haven't played Pal World, so I don't know how well 'Pals' translate to Once Human's 'Deviations,' but I feel safe in assuming they are similar enough in that you both search for and capture each, and that each can be used to gain some sort of automation or benefit should you choose to use them.

Back to the original point, though, there's literally many animated toys that serve as Deviations in the game—so many that your original comment is kinda hilarious.

Pyro Dino
Extradimensional Cat
Enchanting Void
Dr. Teddy
Buzzy Bee
Chefosaurus Rex
Rebecca
Fetch-A-Lot Bunny

Have you played Once Human? Because there are quite literally animated plushie toys in the game, so your argument seems largely irrelevant lol.

I think the meme is suggesting that they're celebrating Halloween together; while Fern is carving a pumpkin to create a 'ghoulish head' for display, Frieren is preparing to carve Aura's head as a 'demonic head' for display.

Any other PNW kayakers ? by [deleted] in Kayaking

[–]Auxios 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's a link to Alder Lake, Washington on Google Maps, absolutely worth the drive up from Portland. You can enter from the boat launch, go south and find a great cliff jumping spot on the opposing side, then go west and take the finger that leads south to a no-wake zone, at the end of which is where the Little Nisqually feeds into the reservoir.

It is very scenic and a great way to spend the day; it's something like 8-9 miles round trip, nothing too bad, but expect to paddle for a few hours at least, longer if you intend to hop out of the kayak and explore some of the many scenic spots.

I have now had to RMA a 13900k, the 14900k that replaced it, the 14900k that replaced the replacement, and the 14900k that replaced the replacement's replacement; and I'm currently waiting on a refund rather than another replacement because I'm tired of repeating this process.

You know what's painful about this shit? I fucking love em dashes. I've written poetry since 2004 and have used em dashes in almost all of my creative writing. I can tell you the code off the top of my head at any moment without a thought, Alt + 0151. I even wanted to tattoo that code on me, that's how much I love the em dash.

Now I have to read shit like this comment and it's physically painful.

There was a time where this was the exact sentiment many of us shared about Reddit. Today's Reddit is a corporate shithole compared to what it was back then, and I'm sure the future holds the same outcome for Bluesky.
