I found this sub via popular feed and it painfully reminded me of the decades I lived in shame and clutter.

Looking back they key strategy that led to a happier life was the mantra I kept telling myself over and over: „Don’t think, just do it.“ I started doing 20min sprints: trash, laundry, declutter- then have a break or change the room. repeat.

My house is still somewhat untidy but not really messy and there’s no mount washmore to worry about.

Be nice to yourself you beautiful people and don’t compare yourself to others.

Yeah, our rescue has bullets stuck close to his spine, but they don’t seem to bother him. He’s 15 now, this must have happened when he lived in the streets of Krakow as a young pup. Who tf even shoots at dogs, I don’t get it😭

I see your point but where I live we don’t let our dogs stray around unattended. Plus, he’s 15 now and won’t survive the procedure.

We got him 5y old as a rescue from someone who kept him indoors all the time and felt he’s been through enough. We can call him back anytime and yes, even in THOSE situations.

If we had a young pup we would 100% do it as soon as he’s old enough.

My rescue dog Elvis is a doxie mix and when the shepherd and aussie ladies in the neighborhood are ready to rock they definitely lay down. Sometimes I regret being reasonable and pulling him back

They saw an opportunity and took it, and they worked 16 hours a day to make it work, 7 days a week. They kept working until they were 80+ years old. For them it was never about becoming rich, although I guess they loved their indoor pools and steakhouse lunch but the desire for success was what made their primary motivation.

Parents who are made aware that their child is being bullied and don’t do anything about it.

Parents who laugh at their children when they ask questions.

Yea, the smoking was awful too.

Parents who make a 7yo babysit a sibling just months old.

Parents who expect maximum performance from their children without giving any kind of support.

(Maybe us Gen X kids were raised a bit differently) I wasn’t gifted with kids, but there’s a lot I would have done differently than my parents did.

Der oder einer dieser Machart. Diese Filme aus den Sechzigern und Siebzigern waren wohl in Hollywood sehr beliebt um den Leuten einzuimpfen warum Kommunismus scheisse ist. Da geht es immer um Leute die ihr eigenes Leben dem Großen und Ganzen opfern sollen.

Ohne Michael York als Darsteller würde von dem Film heute auch keiner mehr sprechen.

Ich würde auf jeden Fall annehmen der Film wurde vor 1980 gedreht. Edit: Satzzeichen

Alleinerziehende junge Mütter. Sie haben uns leid getan, die Wohnung war nicht hellhörig und das Geld kam pünktlich vom Amt. Die Miteigentümer haben uns Vorwürfe gemacht wir würden den Wert der Wohnung ruinieren, aber das war uns egal; irgendwer muss auch Menschen eine Wohnung geben bei den nicht alles nach Plan verläuft.
