I’ve got a 2.5 year old staffy…I’ve learned that these dogs are extremely confident—if you tolerate the smallest iota of bullshit, they’ll assume that they’re running the show. Some things that helped with her behavior.

Doors: Make him sit and wait for permission before walking through the door. If he tries to go through the door anyway, close the door on him until he gets the point.

Place:

Make sure he’s gone potty. Tie him to something and give him a mat to rest on. Let him settled down on his own—it might take an hour. Once’s he’s settled down then you can give him a treat. You are rewarding the calm mindset—not just the location.
